I'd like to see Chase as manager instead of Dave. I don't think Chase would be dumb enough to keep playing himself, would he?

    29 years=tonight's game over 2010 Lakers-Celtics.

As an aside.....fuck the Celtics (and the Giants while we're at it).

Funny how (in some minds) he goes from idiot to savant in a couple of days when his moves work.

And how Jansen goes from choke artist loser to overconfident, let your arm do your talking, prophet.
Puig's prediction much more tempered, respectful, and flat out smarter.
"Not having a chance" is just a plainly ignorant statement to put out there publicly, whether you feel that way or not, from a guy that failed miserably, not once, but twice.
As per Dave, ill advised moves one night, and ones that work the next doesn't make him a savant.
Idk exactly what it does make him, probably a guy who makes the calls that worked on Tuesday.
As long as it carries over for Wednesday.
Morrow's recovery from totally looking done on Sunday to what he was last night was remarkable.

McCullers had a 5.14 ERA on the road in the regular season & a 8.23 ERA after the All Star game

How am I gonna watch this game tonight without having a nervous breakdown. HOW SWAY?!?

I keep envisioning the first inning with Darvish pitching to Springer, Bregman and Altuve and start shaking

Fuck Boston, no question, but of course the Celtics do hold a hell of a lot more prestige than the Houston Astros. The combined championship tally and brand dominance between the Celtics and Lakers does the trick, gets it a broadway play, gets it all time TV ratings, gets it it's own 30 for 30 flick, etc. But then like you said it's also been 29 years since the Dodgers have won a title, so that factors in and helps draw this series near, if not on par along with the way this series has been played..it's a certified classic on the same footing as 2010 Laker/Celtics even though the Astros are no Celtics or Yankees. The fact that the Astros aren't some wild card team also helps it's case, that they can claim to be the best team in MLB means a lot. Still, Yankees/Dodgers Game 7 would have been bigger, there's no doubting that. But then at the same time, this Dodger/Astros series is being played like a Celtics/Lakers championship matchup in the 80's..shit's action packed and as fast paced as one can expect from a baseball game.

However, luckily none of that shit actually matters because it's not Dodgers VS Lakers tonight. Kershaw's choking ass, AKA the best Dodgers player in decades, won't be trying to strike out Lonzo Ball or Andrew Bynum tonight..although, I'd put my money on Robert Horry taking Kershaw deep in a big spot. Smh All that said, this series is almost playing out the same way the 2010 NBA Finals played out. Think about it. Lakers and Dodgers take Game 1 and then lose Game 2, then go on the road for 3 and come out of that down 3-2 in the series, only to return to LA and push it to Game 7. Almost step for step. Only difference, outside of LAD having yet to win Game 7, is that the Lakers won Game 3 in Boston and of course LAD lost Game 3 in HOU. Close enough..hopefully, the end result is the same. Another difference, that 2010 Lakers team was running on fumes, having been to the Finals 3 years in a row at that point and they were an older unit, so the ride was coming to an end. This Dodger team is young..given good luck with health, there's no real end in sight for these Dodgers..they seem to even be Kershaw proof at this point.

Yeah bulletin board material doesn't mean shit at this point..that stuff is usually more effective leading into a series. At this point you want the other team to care about that silly shit and to waste time giving a fuck, to be distracted and lose focus. 1 game, no coming back.

You don't need bulletin board material to be motivated to win the WS. That's silly. The Astros aren't going to suddenly start playing harder.

If I die tonight, it was an honor knowing all of you.

Due to playoff anxiety, I've kept a tab open on the computer during games with the Dodgers Digest comment section. Just to read. I've never seen a bigger collection of horrible self-righteous human beings. And we are racist aids wishers here at DSP, so that's saying something.

This message board is pure class for a sports forum and the past 10 years of fandom wouldn't be the same without sharing in the ups, downs, depression, humor, etc with you folks. Hoping we can get this championship tonight.

    Go Dodgers!

Keep thinking about the joy I'll feel if we get this done while also thinking about how miserable I'll be if we lose.

This World Series has been unlike anything I've ever experienced as a fan. An insane wave of emotions.
