He managed yesterday great too. He didn't throw a fucking beachball to that ugly fuck Montero.

Escape. That's funny. Lets see what this cub team is made of that everyone just loves so much. This is the first time they've been tested all year. They ran away with their division and had a 2-0 lead against the giants. They beat a shitty bullpen twice in San Fran and were lucky enough to win game 4.

We aren't the giants, have played them tough all year and are going back home. If you win this series Chicago you're definitely going to have to earn it.

    Game fucking on!

More importantly I'd like to stop hearing about the shadow. It's right up there with Toles bagging groceries and the Nationals' injury problems.

    these broadcasts are almost intolerable
smoltz needs to be bitchslapped for comparing hendrick to maddux
and rose on the post game criticizing the cubs offense before thomas and arod reminded him how good kersh was
is it really that hard to get competent people to call/comment on the game?

I think the Maddux-Hendricks comparison has to do with his signature tailing fastball under the hands of LH hitters and his use of the changeup.

I don't think he's inferring Hendricks is anywhere close to being as good as Maddux.

No excuses for Rose. The hair dye has eaten into his brain.

I saw a little part of the Kershaw post game presser. I don't think he was pissed or angry or anything. He just sounded weary and just not in the mood of answering the same questions he's probably heard a thousand times.

He's had a high workload, and he deserves 4 fulls days of rest.

But what that means is Hill and Maeda, or whoever the fuck pitches game 4 has to get it done.

Also, if I were Kershaw, I'd be a little pissed that we couldnt give him more than 1 run. It's been a consistent problem with him on the mound. Some switch gets flipped and the bats go silent.

Dude, these batters better get their shit straight. Arrieta is beatable but not of you dont put in the work and see where he is vulnerable. Lets get it done.

I dont like Puig in the game under ANY situation. I like Toles much better than Kike. Grandal's pitch callingmis great, and his defense seems better, but he's so useless in his at bats.....it almost seems worth the risk of putting Ruiz in instead. At least Ruiz has contributed something in the post season.

Just my thoughts aftef this stroke inducing post season game.

Baseball Tonight: "it looked in the first game as if the Cubs were gonna run away and hide with this series"..to who? You? Dodgers have outplayed the Cubs for two nights imo

I was happy to see the fire when he came back, but it really appears that he knows this is his swan song with the team and the fire burnt out. I understand that he is rarely playing right now, so he could be out of the groove, but he just looks out of it and not all that excited to be out there. It's a shame really, he could have come out, been a good teammate and shown the team he was worth giving another shot too. Now we are probably looking at him going bye-bye, maybe for a Braun or Cespedes, but it really seems like bridge has been burnt and he's got a foot out the door.

Disclaimer: I should mention I did not watch last nights game so maybe I missed something, but this what I'm gathering from the other moments that I've watched.

I don't think it's a matter of desire. I think these playoff moments are just too big for him.

I think that is very true. He tries too hard to be the hero in the playoffs instead of letting the game come to him.

I don't care about his attitude or anything like that. He's just not a good hitter.

saying "i'm not comparing him to maddux"
but then that's exactly what he did

It really is a shame he hasn't shown the ability to adjust to MLB pitching after they figured him out. He really could have been a great player. Maybe he will maybe he won't but either way, it's a shame.

It's hysterical when CK forces the hater announcers to praise him against their wills.

    Fuck 'em all, I say!

his asinine bunt attempt against chapman -- with two outs -- spoke volumes
instead of competing, he chose to surrender
remember when we/they used to compare him to cespedes?
think cespedes tries to bunt in that situation?
    pathetic how far he's fallen
some people rise to the occasion, others crumble
