http://m.mlb.com/news/article/39854216/ This one is much worse if you ask me. Holliday when directly after Scutaro, Utley stayed to the outside and Tejeda spun into him.
Yall been goin over this damn play since page 85. Fuck that play. Fuck Mets fans. Fuck the media. Fuck Twitter. Fuck everything except that W.
Baseline is the key word, Utley was still well with in it, thus he can do that. There are seriously idiots saying Utley was out of the baseline because he slid a couple feet past the bag
Yeah really over the slide. Hope Donnie was kidding when he just said Utley may start tomorrow, not because of the repercussion but because Howie's one if the best hitters in the lineup
If Utley's starting tomorrow it better be in LF. If I were Howie and they played Utley over me I'd have my agent talking to interested teams about 30 seconds after the lineup is in. Might as well get free agency started early.
Way too small of a sample size to make that call. Also, career numbers for a guy who lost over .150 points on his career OPS? Laughable.
That pinch hit and slide saved our season but utley is just a pinch hitter for us at this point. No way he starts if everybody else is healthy
It's funny how the player with the most grammatical errors was the one who thinks the Mets should plunk Utley. "Let baseball players handle this on the field, Utley needs to go down, that's not being a gamer in the playoffs. I played with Utley he's a great guy he only wanted to stop the double play but now that the shortstop is out he must pay. Utley knows this, when he gets drilled he'll walk to first." lol
You're better than this Chief! Kendrick isn't coming out of the lineup. And when did Utley start playing LF? You don't just do stuff like that. Puig might get a start in RF with Ethier sliding to LF. That wouldn't be the worst thing in the world since C.C is bad at baseball. Rollins might get a start in game 4 since he hits well from the right side and kills the Mets. However, Seager hits lefties just fine. So you may be looking at a situation where Turner is the odd man out with Seager sliding to 3B. With the way J.T is hitting....nah. It's just not worth it. Let Utley kill Harvey when Anderson's spot comes up in the order and they need a big hit. Let Rollins kill the Mets late in the game. Let the starters play. Puig getting a shot in the OF is the only change I'd be fully on board with.
Turner has been our best hitter these last two games period. Utley's #'s vs Harvey should matter (he's only been pitching since 2012), and the added factor of the slide and them possibly taking revenge on him by throwing at him, yeah, you put him out there
Bullshit suspension. This was to keep him outta New York and avoid the circus there. No other reason for it.
fuck joe torre more concerned about preserving his contrived image than sending a message about doing what's right
Torre pulled the same BS with the bubble machine. He has no blue in his blood, only his bad influence on DBB.
