Six runs in the last 27 innings. Second best O in bb? Something is starting to reek... I wonder how many more "re- hab"pitching experiments like Buehler's we can look forward to the rest of the season ?
Buehler hasn't pitched competitively in almost two years. Patience. Little command and when he throws strikes they're catching too much of the plate.
Question: I've read here several times that Buehler is likely to sign elsewhere after this year regardless of how well or how poorly he pitches. Is it something he said that makes his exit clear or is it about something else, like upcoming talent or better options on the winter market?
I wouldn’t say it’s clear, but I’d say there’s a reason they added Glasnow, Yamamoto, and Ohtani in the offseason. Add Miller and May, and that’s a pretty solid 1-5 for 2025. And you’d still have Gonsolin, Stone, Sheehan, Grove, Knack and possibly even Kershaw to add to the mix.
looks like he agrees… “I think there’s a timeline before I kind of jump off a bridge kinda deal. Both starts have had some negative things in terms of performance, but some encouraging things for me on the back side of it. It’s going to take me a minute.” — Walker Buehler
