They have pitchers getting 5 RBI's while our middle of the order is leaving everyone and their mom on base
Does it mean that the team is not doing well when the announcers talk about Billy Hamilton for 20 minutes? Oh, imo, Baez' s arm is ready to fall off...if not literally, certainly doesn't look the same to me. Not as live as it was earlier... The bp is cracking from the load these pathetic starters we have deal them game in and game out...and even if the O was good, giving up 9 so far is ridiculous.
please at least split this series. Still think this team is in a good enough spot but it completely relies on the offense. A starter has to step it up soon, come on. ugh
We go to tread water as long as we can and try and win the division. Even if Hill and Reddick dont play/suck for the rest of the regular season but all of a sudden turn it on in the playoffs the trade will be worth it. By then things should be normalized as all of our injured players are scheduled to be healthy at that point.
I think "survival mode" was the past month. Now the clock is striking midnight on the pitching staff. Stripling, Norris, Kazmir, possessed Mccarthy, Anderson...we've survived with these types going every day for a while but now the grit and good fortune is expiring. We need it to be Kershaw-Hill-Maeda-McCarthy (healthy and able to throw straight)-Kazmir. Quickly. We've come too far for this thing to collapse. But we really could collapse. I thought it was all gonna collapse during the last trip to Coors. But we fought and made it another couple weeks. We're pushing our luck now. We have to win the series against SF. You won't be able to watch sports television for a month if they beat us and take a 3+ game lead.
I wouldn't mind good Brett Anderson, good Brett Anderson is better than Kazmir, and probably Maeda and McCarthy
