Not to be contrary...I just saw what Hatcher did...put MOB and get clocked by the last hitter really hard and got lucky Agon was there with the leather, as not good. Not so much. Avilan started out with a hit, too; maybe I should be less critical as we did escape, but the tightrope walk is so precarious. The night before, our closer let two on, and before we knew it, a 3 run HR, bigger than shit. We were lucky AJ homered late for that extra run. You can see Donnie not really going with anyone down to the wire in any one inning, because his faith is little in them, and rightly so. I don't know where he would go after Kenley though...maybe back to Indiana?
Yeah, valid points. Hatcher was hit harder then you'd like. But Avilan looked good even against a righty and Nicasio did also.
Okay, quick strategy question. Looks like Grienke and Kershaw will go in the Pirates series, which I am really thinking is going to be crucial. But for the remaining series with the D-backs and Rockies, and before the Giants series, would you skip a Kershaw start? He's not getting to 20 wins this year, although Greinke has a shot if he wins his remaining starts. Unless it gets tight, I'd give Kershaw a rest.
I don't skip a start for Kershaw. The coaches will have a better idea then me, but it seems as if Kershaw/Greinke love their repetition so much that skipping a start could throw them off. Maybe give them more starts on 5 days rest instead of 4, and don't push them too hard in their remaining starts
with wood going tomorrow anderson really needs to step up tonight win tonight; we win the series [obviously] but lose tonight; we probably lose the series
