    Color me surprised when I saw ESPN flashing Tony Gonsolin's numbers as a starter since 2019...

    Dude apparently has the third best ERA at 2.55, minimum 100 IP. He's only trailing DeGrom and Scherzer (I think is who they said).

    I genuinely didn't either. I usually assume ESPN numbers are accurate without a second thought. I think this was the first time in my life where I genuinely thought the numbers had to be wrong. So much so, I went to Fangraphs to verify myself and it's legit.

    We're so lucky to be getting a Gonsolin start on a CATURDAY.

    That isn't nearly as much of a problem as inability to go after anyone. He doesn't allow many runs, but he nibbles, his pitch count gets very high, I'd bet his in the zone % isn't very high.

    hate to speculate but it really seems like something outside the game is going wrong for the man
