i know. i cant stand Ned I just look at a good front office like the Cubs. for a rebuilding team, they had a great offseason IMO David DeJesus for 2/10M Paul Maholm 1 year deal Took a flier on Ian Stewart Traded Zambrano for Volstad acquired Anthony Rizzo no surprise coming from Hoyer and Theo great 1st offseason for a team that was in a mess of a situation. i wanted Frank gone as much as anyone, but you can really make a case that a new GM was needed more than an owner
For all Kemp fans and Kemp haters as of now he is ours for 8 more years. Would we have preferred to sign him or have him hit a free agent market absent the likes of Cain etc. In fact if we don't sign Dre we would have been providing the best two bats in free agency for other teams to bid for. You either do or you don't. Sometimes you get a Werth or a Crawford or you lose a Fielder or a Pujols. Wait Fielder and Pujols are still to be determined as their production is only based on ST. Is Braun over 200 yet in the spring? Checked Braun is neither above or below batting 200. He is right at that mark for the spring. This time in two month we will have some real time production numbers for players and a lot of conversation will be had here there and everywhere about recent major contract signings. One of the realities of baseball management seems to be if a player has a great year and are within two years of FA you either sign them at a premium or risk losing them. We opted to go the sign route with Kemp and kept him and didn't with Dre so time will tell about both players and our wisdom in previously signing and not signing them.

http://larrybrownsports.com/baseball/matt-kemp-eva-longoria/127578 Actress Eva Longoria attended the Dodgers-Angels Freeway Series exhibition game Tuesday at Dodger Stadium along with one of her “Desperate Housewives” co-stars. According to former GM and current analyst Jim Bowden, Longoria left the stadium with Dodgers all-star Matt Kemp. Bowden says he shared an elevator with Longoria, Kemp, and actor Ricardo Chavira, and then he dropped this bomb: JIM BOWDEN@JimBowdenESPNxm
Glad to see Sellers make the team: http://www.latimes.com/sports/dodgersnow/la-sp-dn-dodgers-roster-20120403,0,2946948.story?track=rss
Now we know why Kemp was willing to sign at what could have been a discount in order to stay in LA. Kemp is young, good looking, wealthy, hip and a celebrity. Damn this is going to be a roller coaster til the man gets married. Hold your horses he is now leading the town in homeruns depending on what Brad Pitt does this weekend.
