Atlanta doesn’t get nearly enough shit for: blowing a 2-0 lead, blowing a 3-1 lead, AND having early leads in games 5 and 7. That team choked but since they’re kinda young lots of ppl going with “they’ll be back! And better!”

Eh. Hard for their pitchers to be better than they were these playoffs. Hard for Ozuna/Freeman to be better. Also, they had a chance at trading for Mookie Betts and didn’t budge, when else are they gonna get a chance like that?

I hope to play highlights of our victory over them for decades

same goes with the Padres. I hope this year was their best chance and we can show them not jsut the Bellinger catch, but the game 3 where they just completely gave up.

Switching from elation from the victory to mocking everyone else for being losers

one day during the off-season we gotta rank these home runs. Rank the games, rank the home runs, rank the pitching performances.

    same
    especially the last pitch
i remember literally screaming "that's it!" when adames took julio's final fastball
that split second of disbelief and elation
    and then the utter joy

It's always great to see some of the names of old, names we remember from all the lows and almost highs.
It would be fun if we saw you guys more often so you can come visit the granddaddies.
Spend some of your free time time here.
Your free time is not monetized here.
Or else it wouldn't be free.
It's about the good vibes we all get when you come visit us in the old dodgers dungeon.
    Less begging and more bonding.
Trying to stick a little glue on you.

My niece and nephew were asleep for the game (they live on the east coast) and my sister sent me the cutest video of them reacting to us winning it all.

I’d post it but A. I can’t trust the media players here and B. I can’t trust Rube

Excerpt from a Molly Knight article in the Athletic about Floro's role in Game 6. Amazing he threw three changes in a row after throwing so few in the regular season.

    Dylan Floro
After Roberts pulled Gonsolin with two on and two out in the second with the Dodgers trailing 1-0, he summoned Floro to face the Rays’ best hitter, Randy Arozarena. The 25-year-old rookie from Cuba had already set MLB records for hits (28), total bases (63) and home runs (10) in one postseason. His first-inning home run off Gonsolin gave the Rays the lead. It was unclear if the Dodgers had anyone in the bullpen who could get Arozarena out.

Floro had actually been selected by the Rays in the 13th round in the 2012 draft. He made his big-league debut in 2016, but Tampa Bay cut him six months later. The Cubs gave him a shot in February of 2017, but he allowed seven runs in 9 2/3 innings. They cut him six months later. The Dodgers first picked him up in August of that year and stashed him in Triple A where he struggled. They cut him two weeks later. After Floro signed with the Reds the following year and pitched well for Cincinnati over the first half of the season, Andrew Friedman decided to trade for him. Floro excelled for the Dodgers in 2018, and after a bit of an average 2019, he was back in top form this season.

But was he good enough to dispatch Arozarena in a crucial moment of a potential World Series clincher?

Arozarena had only been a big-league hitter for a few months, and teams had not yet found many holes in his swing. But one pitch he seemed to have trouble with was the changeup. Floro had thrown just 28 changeups out of 729 pitches last year, and by the end of the season, he relied primarily on his sinker and slider, throwing those two pitches 97 percent of the time. He featured a four-seam fastball as well and threw it 30 percent of the time in his appearances last June. This year, he ditched it and replaced it with a changeup.

But would Floro be confident enough to battle the hottest hitter on the planet with a pitch he started throwing on a regular basis just three months earlier? Yes, he would. Floro threw Arozarena three straight changeups to strike him out and collect the biggest out of the game. It was the only hitter he would face.

So. Are you guys happy that THIS team did it? Well, of course we are, but are you glad this group of players finally did it, or were the 2004, 2008, 2009 or even 2017 Dodger players more likeable? If you could chose, which team would have been perfect for you?

I liked this team, lots of pumped up bullpen arms who wore their emotions on their sleeves. Guys who probably shouldn’t be heroes and who aren’t household names, but they were. I also only really hated Kenley and Baez.

would have been nice to get the Kemp’s, Ethiers and Rich Hills a ring, Mannywood was a ride.

I do have a huge soft spot for 2006, Pound for pound I probably liked those weak underdogs better, but this team was near perfect.

Another reason to hate the Astros. Glad we finally won it but Dre, Hill, Kenta and Stripling deserved a ring.

Only other team I ever liked more than this run was the 12-15 teams with Hanley and Grienke. Those dudes were magic to watch.

I wish Gagne could have gotten a ring.
I like drug induced record breakers...they deserve something for risking the wrath they incur when people find out they cheated.
What's fair is fair...in light of the penalty for organizational cheating, engineered and sanctioned by major parts of the management we have seen come down, comparatively, Gagne should have gotten one.
What happens to Turner will be fascinating. For Justin and his family's sake, I hope it's not overboard.
But I am sort of glad that Mighty Manfred the Wonder Dog has to squirm with this...the booing reaction by the Dodger fans at the awards ceremony was priceless. He looked like he went catatonic, almost.
I guess, initially, he couldn't figure out why they were booing ? Get a grip, milquetoast.
    Fucking jerk.
