I never want to fix something that aint broke...we are winning with the lineup this way, but imagine Puig then Ellis...When Yasiel is in the batters box, hes in scoring position...we have 2 dead bats at 9-1...just let ellis bunt Puig over till CC gets back. Im salivating with the idea of CC-Puig-Agon-HanRam...thats just plane scarey for a pitcher.
You can predict the first inning for the Dodgers with Ellis batting lead off. Puig will be coming up with one out and nobody on. Enough already. Stick around for good this time Crawford.
As long as Yasiel gets at least 4.5 at-bats a game then I really don't care what the line-up reads but I get wanting to replace Mark at the same time. It's a dilemma but we're winning like you wrote in the opening line of this thread.
Mark sucks, especially against RHP, which most pitchers are. I agree he shouldn't be batting leadoff.
Vs. lefties it's okay I guess but vs. righties he needs to be hidden very low down there. Don't understand why he's there but Crawford should return Friday and it'll be a non issue vs. righties
Best hitter should hit 2 always and Puig is that. I agree with Ellis not leading off and replacing him there but not with Puig.
I don't want Puig leading off. I hate wasting an AB with a bunt. Maybe Ellis isn't the answer, but neither is batting our biggest power threat after the pitcher. May I suggest Ellis leading off instead of Ellis?
