Ellis + Leadoff = Crap

    Well, IMO most fans get down on guys like MEllis, Skip, Punto far to often. We all have to realize and remember that these aren't guys like ARod, Kemp, Trout, etc. They are good becasue they play hard, smart, and with hustle. they are no where near the body structure and athletism of a superstar player. I try not to expect too much from them and have the utmost respect for them as players because I can only imagine how hard it is for them to stay in the game and be competitive for so long.
    They have to work harder and smarter on both sides of the ball.
    Guys like Ramirez(Manny and Hanely) hit so much, their poor defense is often overlooked or just ignored.

    I do agree Ellis should not lead off though, it's just the way it is until CC is back. It has been a winning formula lately, but the way things have went lately, Cruz could lead off and we'd win I'd bet.

    Pitcher bunts two baserunners over to second and third with two out, Ellis up at the plate, 3-2 pitch Puig on deck, Ellis swings at ball four in the dirt and Puig comes up with nobody on next inning. Seen it for a couple of years now but instead of Puig in the 2 hole, used to be Kemp at #3. I dislike this fucking Ellis idiot quite immensely, but the manager keeps plugging him into those situations.
