List the positives vs the negatives and how you grade them overall right now? I set it up for 90 days with the ability to change your votes so we can re-evaluate later. If you do change your vote, please post the change you made and why...
A- for the trade deadline. I'm not going to be upset about the offseason until they make all of their moves. Bottomline is if they continue to get us to the playoffs, I don't care what the hell they do.
Not sure I agree about the trade deadline. By not giving up any prospects, especially for rentals, I'd say they get an A. I understand that they didn't fill the holes, but they didn't create any either.
Nobody's perfect lol. Who knows how Dee does this year but judging trades in such a short time window is unfair.
He's 24 a little early again and Olivera is 30 and it was a vastly short sample size for both. See above. Gave them a C for this 1st year but I like the vision.
I would not have payed up that much for any other pitcher at that age except for Greinke because of the type of pitcher he is and how he projects as a guy who wont diminish as much with age. Besides when he is 38 his salary will be about par for the course. Aces like him will probably be making 43M per year by then. So at his age making 33M at the end of his career might not be overpaying him all that much. Then again maybe the Dodgers have the inside track on a young ace that we dont know about. So i give them a B.
Agree about Zack and his arm health but there are a lot of innings from here on out for a elbow issue to arise.
It depends upon what happens in the rest of the preseason. I won't be too upset at losing out on Greinke if it means Cueto is coming instead. But if it is Iwakuma, I will be pissed. It might be what they said they would do, but it is way too early to pull the plug on spending. Our farm system is not ready to be the pipeline to the big leagues that means we don't have to overspend on players like Greinke. Bottom line, they are getting paid 8 billion dollars so I can't watch them on tv, they better spend it
Last offseason: A 2015 deadline: F (they knew for 6 months Brett Anderson was starting game 3 of the LDS and failed to fix it) This offseason: incomplete
48 million to MehCarthy. Peralta Johnson Keeping DDD one year too long. Considering Kapler Rollins Losing Grainkey to the fucking DBacks ........
This is an overall grade as of now that can be changed (with an explanation as to why) within 90 days... Please continue.....
I understand that, but you quoted a post of mine that was clearly in reference to deals made at the trade deadline with a response about a deal not made at the trade deadline, so...apples to oranges.
I'd like people to move on from Dee. It's over, he's gone. We got a solid haul for him and no one predicted him to have the season he had.
