Mattingly did say Puig's injury wasn't serious enough to require an MRI, and it's quite possible he could return to the lineup on Monday. okay. this is all stupid
Kemp will participate in workouts with the team on Monday afternoon at Chase Field, and if all goes well he could be activated from the disabled list. Kemp went on the DL with a sprained ankle and compounded that with right hamstring tightness while rehabbing at Camelback Ranch in Arizona. "We'll see him tomorrow. He'll be at the ballpark tomorrow working out early with us, running, doing the bases and doing all that," Mattingly said. "I've been told that depending on where he's at, it could be tomorrow. I don't know. Obviously we want him to be healthy."
Updates on everyone http://www.truebluela.com/2013/9/15...return-yasiel-puig-carl-crawford-andre-ethier
I either read or heard that Hanley was already trying to get Don to put him back in the lineup. He should be back sometime this week. I'm not sure about Ethier and who cares about Crawford lol.
Well looks like the injury front isn't as bad as once thought. I mean CC being out makes it no problem to get Matt Beastmode Kemp more playing time to get his timing right and carry us on his back through Oct. :vlick: I still think it'd be smart to not rush any of them back. Kemp is the only one that absolutely needs ABs right now.
Carl Crawford supposedly is fine. He just needs clearance from his parole officer to rejoin the team. wow, ok...racist troll
The dude is just slumping and when he does he pretends he's hurt. #noheart (<-F'ing cool hashtag shit right there bkitches)
It's usually the opposite. He starts to tear it up after a month long slump, gets hurt, and then slumps again. Maybe we'll see an October hot streak!!!
This is without a doubt concerning. The whole being hot when going into the playoffs thing is a misnomer, because for every 2007 Rockies there's a 2006 Cardinals, but our best players need to be healthy or we're going to get beat by someone who is (healthy) I'm specifically worried about Ethier and Hanley, and almost most importantly the bullpen. I feel like Puig and Crawford will be fine, and if Kemp comes back and can even hit singles I'd be fine with him getting some postseason AB's, but the bullpen needs to get right, namely Belisario and Paco. Brian Wilson and Chris Withrow are not the guys I want pitching big innings, regardless of how well they've been pitching in September.
I have zero faith in Paco and will never have faith in him as long as he continues with that stupid little league pitching stance where he displays the ball to the batter for the entire windup and delivery. Not an iota of cover or deception. I'm still amazed he's made it into the majors with that atrocious form and every time he gets an out I'm stunned. Beli gets over used repeatedly, but who else is DBB going to use? No one else can be counted on. League is good for two batters and by the third they're either getting a BB or hitting the ball hard. Wilson might be good here or there but for how long? I admit that the Dodger hitters have been sucking recently but our largest hole remains the BP as you've stated. Maybe the new Cuban will help... if DBB let's him play...
And the Dodgers don't mind another 0-18 stretch since so many other guys are carrying the club... NOT!
That same delivery that had him practically leading the free world as far as relief pitching goes? Yeah maybe he should just change everything right now? (<-sarcasm bkitch) What are you talking about? He needs ABs so he can hit again. You do know that baseball players generally need ABs to get their timing down right?
