Simply unbelievable...holy shit. The Oklahoma Kid.
A fine bookend for the other Oklahoman phenom, the Mick.
We need the WS so badly...usher in a new time for us...things, slowly but surely, falling into place.

I know I sound like a broken record but I think Kemp is the best coached player in baseball also. We have a great staff for a young player and Kemp has a great relationship with them. We don't mention Trey Hillman much but I saw him do something last night in the dugout after the game that really impressed me. Dee was savoring the moment and it seemed like he was the only player still there along with Hillman. As Dee started to walk in Trey turned to him congratulated him again and the two of them walked in together talking. Had the feeling Trey was still coaching and Dee still learning. I get the sense that this team and these coaches are about it 24/7 as it seems they really hang out as a team. I think Dre is really comfortable and knows his best career performance is with the Dodgers, Kemp and another bat along with the new organization moving forward. Stan Kasten is a genius and if he blesses Dre with a new contract that will be a significant validation for Dre( he needs to feel loved and valued).

Just a matter of time before the name is changed to the National League Kemp of the Week Award.

and for a change he is a dodger. really how many players of this magnitude have ever been dodgers? manny gave us a feel for what a true star can do for a club and matt is looking like he may be great player in the game. don't want to jinx it but the excitement he has created is undeniable. and i like what dbb is doing with this squad.

Sounds like Kemp is really adjusting to LA because only Lakers three-peat.

    BOOM!

Can you imagine the thrill of being a Dodger and hitting a homerun? As you round first you get a hand slap from Davey Lopes, as you round third you get one from Tim Wallach and as you hit the dugout the one and only DBB is there to greet you. They are all household names to baseball fans.

    i should correct my post
i never took any of them for granted
i just didn't appreciate it as it was happening
you always remember things more fondly -- but not my dodger and laker memories
tommy's dodgers and the showtime lakers were every bit as good as i remember them to be
    :soapbox:

and i only omitted kobe because he's still playing... and, like kemp, he is not being taken for granted :woot:

Let me tell you what, when me and Diablo went to the game and heard the MVP chants it was AWESOME! Never in baseball has that happened, at least to my knowledge.

No. Because Bills is going to strike him out 5 times in a row.

3 tonight in a perfect game and 2 tomorrow in relief.
