    Hmmmmm....I can never understand what the Nats organization is thinking, or whether they actually think. Going back to Strasberg and nursing his recovery for no reason (he owned the Gnats that year, and POOF, Nats have never been closer), which had no effect on his long term health as a pitcher, to this stupid move with Scherzer. What are they saving him for? Extended vacation?

    I see parallels to the Dodger FO. So they put Hill in for a game that means more to the Dodgers than the Nats replacing their ace vs Rockies. Awesome thinking geniuses.

    It’s not that I think Hill is bad, just that in this situation, you have to put in your best shot because the WC is always a roll of the dice. You can throw in the kitchen sink for the WC or 163, but it’s better not even to be in that situation.
