Yeah. OKC isn't winning anything next year. It's going to be pretty easy to leave that situation next summer.
I really like Hart and Kuzma, so I'm happy they're staying ( for now, hopefully they aren't flipped at the deadline) And definitely a fan of Randle, so I hope he has a breakout year, like Magic predicted. There's more than 1 new dynamic with LAL thanks to having Lopez @ center with his 3pt shooting..Randle is going to have a lot of space inside and with his ability to handle the ball, pass and finish, that's certainly an ideal setup for him. And then, low-key Zubac is supposed to be unveiling a 3pt shot as well..we'll probably see it in the summer league next week. Anyway, hopefully Randle proves his worth and LAL can figure out how to ditch Clarkson and Deng instead, open up some more cap space that way. Line up a bunch of stretch 5 types in Lopez/Zubac/T.Bryant and Randle could feast. Doesn't bode well for Tarik Black though, and I like that guy..oh well
lol best news for the lakers. I don't see how he stays there next year. Also people forget nowadays and think that every guy just wants to team up and win and win now. maybe pg is just homesick and wants to be the face of a franchise. the star guy in his hometown?
Richest contract in NBA history for Steph Curry 5yrs/201M, of course GSW GSW backup plan if they lose Iggy is Rudy Gay
I agree, excited to see Hart and Kuzma. Also intersted to see how Bryant does, i really like that 7'6" wingspan. I also think Randle will benefit from Ball in the back court, Lob City might have a new destitnaiton. Also stoked about Lopez and is 3pt shot, but the key is going to be Zu and his developmen under Kareem teachin him the hookshot. I kinda wonder with PG13 going to the Thunder, does this mean he and Westbrook come to LA next year???
I would like George and LeBron, but wouldn't complain ( too much) about Westbrook joining George. However, the Westbrook side of things will be figured out tomorrow ( or minutes from now), if not, I guess some time over the next week..OKC is going to offer Westbrook a contract that mirrors Steph Curry's new deal
Brian WindhorstVerified account@WindhorstESPN What OKC gave up for George (no picks) an indication of weakness of offers to Indiana. And how afraid teams are that PG will walk next year
This means Durant either gets a max or close to max deal long term and lost players like Iggy and make Draymond and Klay signings more difficult, or he signs a short term contract and leave lots of money on the table in the hopes that Iggy also signs for less than maybe the Spurs offer, and offer some flexibility in the Draymond/Klay signing. I think Iggy is gone. He's on the backend of his career and will get paid.
Reminds me of when LAL was big boy on the block Ariza turns down LAL's offer to come back LAL shrugs, signs Artest Except of course I don't know that Gay would be an upgrade over the older Iggy or even a lateral move Artest was an upgrade in many ways
Rudy Gay is also being targeted by OKC in the wake of the PG13 trade. If a bidding war starts, GS is not going to go out of their way.
My worst nightmare is coming true. Young TWolves are coming. Just signed Jeff Teague to run PG That's Teague/Butler/Wiggins/Towns Whoa. Playoffs? Probably.
LAL would have to work some real magic to fit Klay in The league's salary cap doesn't take a big jump from '18 to '19 Projected to go from 102M to 107M But of course I hope it somehow happens
Just wishful thinking but everyone would have to take a cut and the Lakers willing to go into the luxury tax for a couple of years.
Adrian WojnarowskiVerified account@wojespn The Lakers spoke with free agents Andre Iguodala and Rajon Rondo tonight, league sources tell @espn. Iggy, former Pelinka client Rondo tight with Kobe, so also a Pelinka connection
