We kept going under screens protecting the drive and kick and gave up the three to Jimmy Butler. He was on fire, sucks but I'd rather give up a three than points in the paint. His transition defense pissed me off so much last night. He was frustrated but that doesn't mean you give up on the play.
Usually the rule of thumb. Which makes me wonder why Hart and a couple others keep allowing themselves to be baited into shooting 3's late when a drive and finish at the basket or a couple free throws would give them the lead or knot the game up. Maybe they're all running from the free throw line? Yup. Probably the main source of his defensive woes thus far. But at least he's on the defensive glass. Lance should probably be out there in the closing unit for his rebounding and physicality, but Kuz or BI would maybe lose value if they're not closing. Tough spot.
been intentionally laying off mebron early but he's already calling out the young guys 7 games in? pretty sure i'm watching him miss his ft's and shots in big moments as well as key turn overs wait until Lavar starts calling him out, then the real circus begins...gmafb "king"
Surprise, surprise. Kevin Love out a month with another injury. They're not rebounding worth a damn and yet I'd still rather have BI and Kuz over Love. Especially when you consider Love's max contract
Could they receive a better offer tho? Or do youh think they'd be more interested in receiving a young package of players back? Not saying we send kuz and bi, just curious
So Zo said he personally " needs to be more engaged "..pretty much what we talked about the other day, needing to grow in terms of just being interested in competing his hardest. He just has to picture every guy as Jamal Murray. Lol Guys from LA are so wishy washy..well, other than Kawhi. These young guys had better shape up. LeBron's a leader, so he's gonna address the disappointments, even when he fucks up himself. The other night he made sure to make it known that choking at the free throw line was unacceptable for him, so they had better know damn well that he'll call them out too, and he should. And we should want LeBron calling guys out, means he cares..means he's not just coasting and content living in LA full time running his business, raising his kids, etc. Mad LeBron has been a pretty good LeBron, historically. But aside from that..the youngsters had better understand 3 things. 1) You play for the Lakers, so the nation is watching and is ready to pounce on bum shit. Expectations have risen back to high level basketball, so the cute social media stuff will be at a minimum when you're losing. It's going to get ugly. 2) You're playing with LeBron, so basically ditto to 1)..even more attention. 3) If you can't handle public criticism..Lakers aren't for you. Los Angeles isn't for you. Because no matter what, if you play like a bum..everybody saw it because more than half the games are nationally televised and they're ready to talk about it on a plethora of different platforms. So instead of being mad that people are calling you out publicly..play better. Or ask off the ride. But certainly don't bitch up and complain about the criticism..save that energy and just put it into playing better. I suspect Zo will be fine here, his pops was tough on him and obviously put him on the national stage, he should be used to it. BI will probably be fine as well, Stackhouse was tough on him and the pressurized setting at Duke. Hart and Kuz, I have questions about. Nice guys, but I could see them cracking.
Also, Hart better stop all that gotdamn pouting on the bench. I saw that. Luke threw him in for a couple minutes late and decided to pull him back out..shape up. Anyway, Lol @ Patrick Beverley going for Russ' knee again. Dirty rat bastard And Lol Rockets, 5 losses in a row..trading for Jimmy Butler about to be less of a luxury and more of a necessity
For now they need to go big. Lonzo. Rondo Lebron. Hart Ingram. Lance Kuzma. Ingram Javale. Kuzma 8 guys is all u need.
He's been fun to watch on the bench, almost Turiaf-esque with the celebrations Should be fun to watch on the court Mike Beasley wasn't with the team last game, personal reasons..interested in knowing what that's about because he hasn't been playing a lot, and he shouldn't
Rondo scolds Lance for a fucked up pass Lol Lol Makem dance over the top of the backboard Halloween special from Lance..and then Lance throws the ball away trying a crazy pass Haha Puig loves it
