Either way, there's only 1 player in their " core four " that came into the league with the expectation that he'd be an immediate star. They knew they were going to have to wait for then 19 year old Ingram to fill out physically. They knew that both Kuzma and Hart could've easily fallen to the 2nd round in the draft. And then of course, Zo was the only guy coming in with pressure to split the red sea immediately and that was mostly due to Lavar. The fact that they're all productive NBA players holding their own this early, producing with and without LeBron and on the league's biggest stage, #appreciation. That was my take away from Regla's post, just appreciation. The org has done a top notch job in comparison to the rest of these teams in the league that are " building through the draft ". They can’t have a vital role on a legitimate contender, especially Kuzma who’s a 4 who 1) can’t shoot, 2) can’t play up and protect the rim and 3) can’t guard wings either so who does he guard in meaningful games?
And whom would you have had them draft instead of Kuzma @ 27 that year? Justin Jackson? Who they couldn't get because he went 10-12 picks ahead of Kuz..who can't create his own offense or get big minutes on a meh Kings squad? 30th overall pick from that same year, Josh Hart, is better than Justin Jackson.
