It's pretty hard for me to go out of my way to boo anyone really. Unless they're fag Giants.

I just hope Matt and Andre start hitting soon.

 

Agreed, it's not like I'm waking up in the morning thinking to myself, "self, I really hope Matt Kemp strikes out 4 more times so I can be justified in booing him today," or "self, I really hope Kemp is the worst player on the team so I can boo him". This is just a shit situation that we are in and it is what it is.

The fans who boo Kemp are justified imo. He's making 20M batting 3rd/4th in the lineup and absolutely just destroying our chances at winning because of it. I don't know about anybody else but I am by far a Dodgers fan before a Matt Kemp fan, although he is my favorite player, or Kersh fan, or Agon fan, you get the idea.

I just want the Dodgers to win and if that means moving Kemp down to 8th then so be it or phantom DLing him and giving Pederson a shot then do it.

It's very acceptable to boo Kemp and Ethier. I personally don't do it, but when you're making close to $100MM or over, you shouldn't be hitting .250 and costing the team games. They both need to get their shit figured out fast.

My friend you have been in forums with me long enough to know how I felt about Martin, Brox and Loney. I supported them when many others were down on them and defended them when others wanted to get rid of them. They continued to be dumped on and continued to have performance issues. So I am going with the flow this time and accepting the Kemp haters and saying ok lets free my man and let him move on like others have. Sorta like why fight the Fed. Players are human and have contracts and options and very few players start and end their career with the same team and at one point it was felt that Matt would but as we can see with many players being from the system some how creates high expectations and the inevitable ups and downs become less acceptable. Witness Upton in Atlanta thriving now. His brother BJ is still to find his footing but he has a second chance to do so. We may be witnessing why we have such musical chairs in players and the teams they play for. Perhaps it was inevitable that fans would become tired of a player after a certain time period. This is a new era in media and with spectator participation in blogs and article comments it has probably heightened the probability of players leaving. I am 65 years old and remember when baseball was the NATIONAL PASTIME and now it seem more like for some it is their LIFELINE.

 

^^^ Making it personal bro. Kemp sucking has nothing to do with my life. It has everything to do when I watch my daily 3 hours of baseball (4 hours if Beckett is pitching). Good on you for defending Loney, Martin and Brox, I hated those fuckers and are glad they're gone, the team is better for it. Once Kemp becomes too much of a blackhole I'll be glad he's gone. If Kershaw blows his elbow out and pitches like Ted Lilly for his career, I'll be glad he's gone. Support the team. Kemp is costing us games and something has to be done. I don't fucking care about Kemp I care about the team. That doesn't mean I'm obsessed and spending an unhealthy proportion of my life going out of my way to hate the guy.

 

Fans aren't turning on Kemp. He's batting .250 with 2 HRs and a negative WAR. That's essentially saying that we'd be getting more production from a replacement level player than a guy making $20MM annually. Instead of him viewing it as a bad thing, he should be viewing it as a wake up call. Dodger fans have accepted shitty play for far too long and deserve the best (especially after the McCourt BS). This was supposed to be the year of a "Whole New Blue" where Dodger baseball is changed for a long time to come, but it's getting fucked over by injuries and your two longest tenured stars swinging like Helen Keller at a piñata party. I love Kemp, and I love Ethier even more, but if they're viewed as stars then their play should reflect that. This isn't a slump anymore. They're playing bad baseball. Don went off on the team last week, now the fans are letting them hear it. Shit better change quick.

 

Will Kemp ever hit a HR in Dodger stadium again?



He used to make it look so easy, now he struggles to even make contact. I keep waiting for him to hit a bomb at Dodger stadium.
