honestly can't fucking wait for everyone to hype up Scherzer as some big game, intense pitcher and for the Dodgers to score in the first inning.
Joe Kelly's career in a nutshell this series. Absolutely dominant in Game 1, complete and utter dog shit in Game 3.
I think tomorrow they should stack up with lefties. Scherzer is super good against righties, less so against lefties. Difference of like .200 points in OPS. K to walk ratio is like 14 against righties, 4 against lefties. Joc, Muncy, Turner, Cody, Seager, Lux, Beaty, Smith I don’t feel great about that 5-8 but maybe they run into one or Scherzer walks them. Just don’t think it’s a good idea to start any of the other righties and instead use them in later innings for Doolittle or wtv other reliever
MLB Network lineup keeps shitty shows like High Heat and Intentional Talk during the playoffs, but not MLB NOW? That sucks.
I left to go to a bar when we were down 2-1 in the 5th. Conclusion: I must go to that bar for every Dodgers game going forward or else I am not a true fan.
I’m gonna say pretty high. I’d be surprised if someone other than Max, Stras, Doolittle or Hudson pitches today. the key will be fucking up the whole plan by beating Max.
Strasburg. When a guy doesn't allow the ball to leave the infield for 6 or 7 innings, safe to assume he's not really having any problems. Right scenario for DC, 20-30 pitches tonight would likely get them through a couple innings, and then ready to start Game 5 and go 80-90
Seems like that’d be pushing your luck with him but could happen I guess. Kershaw has to be a relief option the next two games also, not like I’d want him to be
Corbin and anibal could go game 5, and I wouldn’t put it past Max/Stras to be available for some outs
Overlooked because of the 7 run explosion was the way Ryu recovered from the first inning HR to put up four scoreless innings. I don't doubt he would have been good for a couple more had the need for the PH not come up.
Stras is locked in for Game 5, no matter what happens tonight. I just wonder if he will pitch an inning tonight because they can't trust anyone else, they seem to be pushing their chips all in this series.
Their chips are probably all in on Stras' behalf as well since he's opting out. They babied him and protected him for so much of his career, and if they don't go all in now and lose him in free agency, what was it all for? To get him ready for his NYY career?
