    If you don't have the chips there is no poker game BZ. NOT giving up Julio or Corey so what else do you suggest? I know complaining is easy, I do it but solution? Only Hamels isn't a rental.

    Sort of reminds me of the Kemp deal. We missed on Russell Martin and some folks went silly...we then wind up with Grandal and get an all-star catcher anydamnway. This time Price goes to Toronto and we get Wood/Peraza/Latos. Will they have Grandal-ish success? They have that potential. Each of them, actually.

    But that's assuming that the nerds are done. Which they likely aren't.

    Not having the chips is bogus, IMO. Sorry...I think that's weak as a reason. Because we have lots of chips. Especially since we made all these other moves to supposedly use them as pieces to get at least one of them...all we have been reading about and hearing about is "LA power". Are our prospects any greater than other team's prospects? So, keep Seager, move another.
    We don't get anyone we've really wanted lately...last big one was Greinke-and that was NED.
    So what if they are rentals...do you wanna win one or not??? Isn't it about fukcing time?
    I guess when these rooks come up, they better be the second coming...at least Mike Trout.
    Maybe the plan is to get Price in FA. In that environment, we are unbeatable, right?

    How did we get wood for a 30 yr old rookie that's owed money? Wow, not price, cueto, or hamels, but our rotation is certainly looking a lot stronger. Jim Johnson seems like a solid addition to the BP. He had a rough year last year but other than that hes been a good reliever

    Does this trade get us over the top, meaning comparing the lineups of the Royals, Giants, Cardinals, Nationals, Angels, Astros, is this lineup enough to get the job done?

    I know, almost impossible question, but whereas you might have more easily been able to analyze a straight up Price deal, with all the players involved in the current deal, I don't really know where that leaves us.
