    http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/schedule/ps.jsp

Post season schedule released a number of days ago. If we make the playoffs we would start on October 9th. Almost a whole week later than last season. Looks like November baseball this year.

Thank goodness TBS has the National League Playoffs. None of that Fox, Fox Sports 1 or MLBN scrambling through channels bull crap.

Gotta go against that grain... I'm not a big fan of TBS' broadcast presentation. Although it means no Harold Reynolds until the World Series.....

Ummm, the confederacy stood for slavery, even if it was just one facet of the confederacy. To love and respect it, means that you are fine with that aspect.

I'm not trying to get into a debate about this because it is trendy right now to fight against the flag and I'm not one of those people, I've thought the confederate flag has always been a symbol of one of the worst aspects of the American history.

I've been thinking, I wonder if the highest trade value Joc will ever have will be after that home run derby. Not saying he won't turn it around, but what if he levels out at a slightly above average regular, what could we have gotten for him at that point? Probably anything we wanted.

    I'm torn.

Is Joc 2.0 Kingman or Maas?

Yes, unless he does turn it around and become a hitter, not only a slugger, then I think you are right.
The inevitable response to that would be " who plays CF then ?"
But it seems to me,if you got a valuable piece to the multi- level puzzle, wherever, just put an OF there. Whoever...if the return was good enough.

Or you could have got a CF back in a potential deal. I think at that point you could have got Syndergaard and Lagares, and maybe more? Idk maybe I'm overstating his value at that point, but I don't think I am, Fangraphs had him at 11 in all of baseball.

Kingman's career OBP was .302, here's hoping for better than that. I'll take the slugging, but for a player who looks like a top of the order guy, Joc's got to get on base.

Even through all the struggles Joc's OBP is still @ .358 for the season, .336 since the all star break, and now .424 in August. Facing MLB level pitching for a full schedule is gonna take some getting used to, but he's on the right track at least mentally.

Either one, or both would have been something.

    Racism is ignorance.

Assuming one supporting the flag is supporting racisc/slavery is just as ignorant.

I did not grow up in the south nor did I live there at any time. Books tell us much but they don't put us there.

I'm also intelligent enough to know that making such an assumption would make me as ignorant as a racist.

I can see why a black person or a minority in general would think that way but it's a very close minded perspeective. Somewhat primitive. IMO

Possible but at that point everyone including us thought he was Jim Edmonds. Which he still might be. Do you trade that?
