i know they want to give zach lee a shot next year but the more i read about Tanaka the more i like him. Id go after him, say bye to Nolasco as good as he's been for us.

Magic number21!!!!!! Going to be boring without baseball. Although I'd love to see USC lose.

It is also rumored he may be the second fastest to go into deep therapy since Jimmy Piersall.

Tanaka looks fantastic but we can't just sign everyone. Kershaw-Greinke-Nolasco-Ryu-Beckett-Bills-Lee-Fife is cool, with maybe a veteran in there for extra depth.

Love him, and since he's been on our team our pitching was been fucking fantastic. Lots of great stuff from Greinke, AJ, and Marmol there.

I'm not gonna say they can, but their are a lot of holes in that thought process.

    1) Nolasco is an impending free agent, and with his recent performance could command 4/50 pretty easily.
    2) Bills likely won't be able to pitch until june or july.
    3) Beckett is returning from injury as well, so him coming back as anything but a #5 is risky.
    4) Ned doesn't seem to like handing rotation spots from the start of the season to young guys (Lee, Stripling, Magill etc)

this. again nolasco has been good for us, but he's exceeding his skills and expectations. The target that everybody else would want back, kuroda, would cost us a pick. Beckett will be healthy, but that doesnt mean he should be pitching for us in any capacity at worst the 5th starter maybe. But he would drive us nuts like cap and harang. I think Bills would be the #5 to ease him back but he wont be ready by spring training which sucks. maybe they ride it out with cap and give him another 1 year deal to bridge the gap to bills.
i just think grantland's analysis was good, Tanaka's stuff and style are comparable to kuroda except he's a decade younger.
we got korea down, latina america, adding japan would make our marketing and reach pretty damn good. all it would cost is mark walter's money.
whether this happens or not will depend on Logan White. If he thinks he's good its a good move. If he is iffy on the guy we pass like with Alfredo Gonzalez.

Lloyd's of London underwrites a lot of athlete injury insurance at the collegiate and professional legal.

Stan Kasten was on CNBC today and was asked about Cano. He said we would need to review at the end of the season and see what we needed to improve. Said to indicated interesting a player now would be wrong. I suspect we will see what happens with Kershaw, Norlasco and Hanley and take it from there. If there is money left and the terms are right who knows if we deem him to be an important acquisition. If we sign the Cuban probably not.

This current Dodger operation has developed a great reputation for helping vets to recapture their former high level of play. Players needing a restart would not only Come for the right price but would probably be willing to have their wife/girlfriend blow Ned weekly if he signed them. Maybe even daily when the team s on the road. Hell some might even do it themselves and that haircut Makes Ned look like he might let them.
