It was just a tinge of intrigue nothing earth shattering.
His AAV will be $0 apparently... wow.
Add the ARB numbers and we have an idea of the "cap" figure which will shed light on funds potentially for Harp?
Arenado filed at $30M... yowza
The numbers I have seen so far are above projections (Seager $4M, Fields 2.85)
Ken Rosenthal Retweeted Ben Nicholson-Smith
#Dodgers’ obligation to Martin will be $3.6M.
Not a math guy but according to our Guru CKWG the AAV is ZERO
I'm just repeating what I read on the interwebs. Martin was owed $20M this next season, but his CBT hit was $16.4M
The #Bluejays are paying $16.4 million of remaining $20 million of Russell Martin’s contract, #Jays say. It means they will be paying $54 million this year to players to NOT play for them including Troy Tulowitzki with #Yankees
20,000,000-16,400,000 = 0
I believe in you man!!!!!!
Simple math aside this is threshold math which is different but I can't say why. Blame it on CKWG LOL I kid kid
He's owed 3.6M more than his AAV. The Dodgers are on the hook for that 3.6M difference, but the 16.4 AAV is being covered by the Jays. A few people have said this is the case, so I am just going on that.
doesn't matter, we're getting him for a bargain
A bargain for a bum
May as well drag AJ Ellis back into the fold as well, wherever he is
Russell Martin ✓@russellmartin55
So excited to be back in #DodgerBlue again!!!
Suck it @N.Z ... suck it long... suck it hard.

I just went through power RHH OF options on the trade market and holy shit is that thin in the talent department... It is Nick Castellanos, Mitch Haniger and that is it and neither of those two are said to really be "available". I kinda see why Pollock is a consideration at this point... Fuck, go get Harper for gods sake.
The whole Puig/Kemp/Wood trade makes no sense unless we get a Harper, Kluber, or Kimbrel. Pollack just isn't gonna cut it.
We have a hole we created in RF, we desperately need a reliable SP, and Jansen is just not that guy anymore. You can argue Jansen and Kershaw are most to blame for coming up short in the WS the past two years.
So what is this FO thinking. Just money?
After Martin and with the arb agreements, Dodgers’ CBT payroll is at roughly $181.4 million for 17 players (includes cash in/out, plus Bailey, Utley & est. team benefits). 2019 tax threshold is $206m
Who the fuck knows anymore
I only have 1 dodgers shirt.
