    In the midst of everything going on, someone said that the Dodgers have stopped focusing on "star catchers" for this season and that also meant Realmuto as they do not want to block Smith or Ruiz. Many reports out there that the Marlins continue to be insane in their asking price.

    It is going to be a long time before either Ruiz or Smith puts up an offensive line like Realmuto. By then, it is a new era. Worrying about blocking those guys is stupid

    Really interesting to see what direction they go now. I think Pederson is gone no matter what. A couple of reports out there that the team was not happy with how many one dimensional hitters they had on the roster towards the end of the season. They need to be proactive and protect themselves for the horrible scenario where Bellinger and Muncy still don't hit lefties well in 2019 and they can not afford to have 3 platoon guys again. So with that thought in mind, I think Joc is next out the door.

    I feel like we just did the "star catcher" thing, and the star was broken down every year by the time the playoffs rolled around. Honestly, I just want 2 guys who can game-manage and take pitches while hitting 8th. There is no place to drain money and hopes faster than behind the plate. I will be happy if we move on and focus on other areas.
