Probably not, but like has been said over and over again. The Marlins are said to be completely unreasonable in their asking price for Realmuto. No, Bellinger for Realmuto straight up is not a realistic asking price. Even worse is that they are asking for other top prospects on top of that. The Marlins have scared off every team that they have talked to for that very reason. It would be one thing if they were worried about blocking them if the asking price was reasonable, but since it is not, I tend to agree that there are not many worthwhile options out there.

Anything is possible but unless he doesn't like Puig or Wood or Farmer then he'll have company.

Honestly, Barnes is one of the best defensive catchers in baseball. It is probably worth it at this point to go into camp with him as the starter.

A couple LA reporters coming out and saying that Wood, Puig and Kemp were all problems in the clubhouse at the end of the season. Not totally shocking based on two of their histories and Wood being a somewhat vocal sourpuss on twitter. All were not happy being marginalized.

WHY are the analysts at MLB network throwing Pollack to us as a result of this trade? I get it that we only have 1 right handed hitting OF'er and that is Kike. A rumor I missed?

Kemp, Puig, Wood, and Farmer gone.

The only one I'm sad about is Puig, and even I realize he was far from being a star. Even if this was only a salary dump, it's hard to say we were fleeced when these are all borderline starters at best. I'd be worried about Kemp and Puig... maybe the Reds are hoping they come up big in contract years, but I'm worried neither one of them are the type to benefit from a change of scenery. AF has traded Kemp twice now, and I have a funny suspicion when history looks back on this, both trades will be viewed as brilliant for the Dodgers. Best wishes to all the departing Dodgers.

Why aspire to be a major leaguer if you only want to platoon!!!!!! Players want to play and it's no different on ANY MLB team or any team in professional sports. I don't want you if you don't and now Yasiel will have that opportunity to play everyday.

Why I'll be happy with Smith or Ruiz if they make it up next season. I don't even give a shit about the catcher hitting anymore. Red Sox just ripped LAD a new one with a couple catchers nobody knew

Reminder, the Dodgers were said to be trying to move Rich Hill's $16M AAV and Joc Pederson's $4-5M AAV earlier this offseason. The club still has considerable depth at both positions, so I would not be shocked if there are more moves to come from a cost cutting approach.

Off to another club that needs to take a chance, but less so than Cincy..maybe. You're gonna hate this one..Bay Area homecoming for Joc? A's or Gnats?

I don't think that we see him put up another year like that. He had never done anything like that at any level and rumors were that he got hurt early in ST, was never able to heal and it messed up his swing. At this point with what is out there and what we could potentially do with the lineup, if it meant going with a weaker bat while having an elite glove at C, I'd take that if it meant they could use prospects in trades elsewhere.

Giants probably won't happen for Joc or Hill. Can't imagine Zaidi is going to get that job and then help LAD clear room for Harper to bombard the drink behind RF

I think you answered your own question, though I could see Joc not being necessarily a "salary dump". He'd fit probably any team in the AL Central, Pirates, Blue Jays, Rays... So there are options out there. Hill would be a lot tougher, but teams like the A's, Twins, White Sox or Rays stand out to me as possible fits.
