3/4 if we're talking about the regular season, otherwise I disagree. Kershaw has always been a great regular season pitcher. But he's terrible in the post. Madbum is exactly the opposite. Add in Kershaw's dropping velocity, and he's likely to only get hit harder going forward.

Members of the Houston Astros organization reportedly admitted to stealing signs during recent interviews with Major League Baseball.

According to SNY's Andy Martino, some of the interviewees said they had access to a live feed from a center field camera that aided in decoding signs in 2017.

Kershaw becomes wholly predictable when you shorten the game to a 5 game or 7 game series. This isn't a situation where you are facing teams over a 162 game season. Each opposing team in a post season series has the chance to concentrate and write the book on you.

It seems to me the bright spotlight when focused on CK in the post causes some kind of brain fart, and CK goes into hero mode, pitching fastball after fastball that gets elevated and elevated with no thought at strategy. All batters are the same to him in those moments and eventually big league hitting will catch up to that. He's never learned his lesson.

I want a pitcher with success in the post. Someone who is smarter than that, tougher than that, which is why it was so depressing seeing Cole go to the Yanks.....a team that has a sense of urgency rather than shareholder value. Money is money, but a WS is forever, it's a legacy.

Oh hell, if that means Bum, I'll hold my nose and accept it at this point. Looks like we're not getting anyone else.

Ryu is better than Bumgarner and 60% the price, I don’t get this just bring him back and get Kris Bryant. I really don’t want Hader.

There’s so much evidence that there’s really nothing else for them to do. Or you can deny it like Beltran and Hinch and just look like douchier pieces of shit.

    Cool 24 hours of news
    • The Dodgers had the best offer on the table according to multiple reports. When the Yankees offered the 9th year, Cole advised Boras to take it without going back to the Dodgers to counter. All indications are that the Dodgers would have attempted to beat the Yankees offer. Cole’s preference all along was to play for the Yankees.
    • In his interview today, Anthony Rendon admitted that his family was not interested in living in LA as the lifestyle was “too Hollywood” for them.
    Un-fucking-real

So basically no one wants to play for the Dodgers.

    And Rendon is a moron.

    lot of similarities...
    they're both past their primes
kersh will never win another cy young
and bum will never dominate again in the postseason
kersh isn't worth what he's being paid
and bum isn't worth what he'll likely get paid
signing bum makes about as much sense as signing aj pollock
bad example... at least bum can hit

Why not get both? We know we can't rely on CK in the post. Other than Ryu, everyone else is a bit of a question mark too. Are we going to try to keep Hill?

Rendon does realize that he could live in North Orange County and drive to the stadium, right?
Seal Beach is, what... 24 miles from the stadium?

    embarrassing
when two of the top three free agents don't want to play here, there's a problem
the front office/ownership needs to take a look in the mirror
    but of course they won't
they'll come up with some type of justification... and then overpay for what's left of madbum
can't wait for donaldson to sign with the padres, ryu with the dbags, and the cubs to trade bryant to the giants
    awesome

He’s getting advised by Bore-ass, who obviously has some sort of vendetta against the Dodgers. Just wait til he steers Julio, Corey, and Cody away from us.

The quote I read from Rendon was different.

" But what we heard about how the organization is, the Hollywood lifestyle, it didn't seem like it would be a fit for me and my family. "

Sounds like he didn't want be among the privileged. We've got Turner saying he'd be willing to move off 3B for Rendon, as if he'd have a choice. Like he's handing Rendon the job and he should be thankful. Lol You already know Howie gave up the goods on what LAD is like

OC is more "Hollywood" than LA. If he's using "Hollywood" right.
If he's saying that he doesn't want to live in LA because is cramped and hard to navigate then that's a different story.

can't wait for cleveland to trade kluber to the padres because la is too close to mexico...

Corey Kluber market reportedly heating up
by Dylan A. Chase | MLB Trade Rumors — 28 minutes ago

Corey Kluber has made for one of the hardest-to-pin trade candidates of the offseason, with the 33-year-old Indians hurler coming off an injury-wrecked 2019 that saw him perform in just seven games, and poorly. However, it seems like a fair number of teams are confident in an immediate return to form, with baseball journalist Robert Murray relaying that the Kluber market is “heating up”. Murray names the Angels and Padres as two parties that have recently checked in. Jon Heyman of the MLB Network corroborates this report by saying that Kluber’s market is “very active” with multiple teams in play. Heyman characterizes Kluber as “much more likely” to get dealt than shortstop Francisco Lindor.

Translation: I want to live in California, but I also want an extra 3-4 weeks vacation every year.
