if it’s truly anyone, then maybe kick the tires on adames and even yelich as well

The Brewers are open to trading “virtually any player” on their roster, per @Ken_Rosenthal.
The Dodgers should be on the phone right now coming up with a deal for Corbin Burnes. LA has the prospect capital to get any deal done, and Burnes is the perfect ace for this squad.

Never heard of him but just checked his Fangraphs.
He looks promising from a racial stadpoint (provided he's not Irish or Italian), but what type of specs (racist) will it cost?

Oh yeah...I thought Burr, Woodbine were great. Cannavale is from Union City, N.J. ( in spite of what he says), where I grew up.
Just watched him again in Boardwalk Empire, where he stloe the show.
The blow scenes were so good. Hilarious.

Thing is, Roberts' personality...I basically wouldn't give a flyin fuck about how much douchebagerry he showed if the stumpy little twat won a WS once in awhile with the players he's had.
But nooooooo...so you just have to go at him.
    It's required.
    It's so right.
    It's what the gods want.
Why else would they make him such a cosmic loser ??

“The Dodgers are hoping that Gavin Lux is able to return to full health, but the team is also doing their due diligence at the shortstop position. The Dodgers are looking at the trade market, specifically Milwaukee’s Willy Adames and Toronto’s Bo Bichette.”

Lux is fine at SS. Use the resources to grab a 3B, that’s the biggest need right now in the field. Obviously we need a right handed OF too, but SS isn’t the problem.

On the pitching side (****strictly just a pitcher, if you know what I mean), I don't think we will sign any top tier guys like Nola, Snell or Montgomery (only one is Kershaw if he doesn't retire or try his luck in Texas). There's an outside shot we make something happen, but this front office wants it to be short-term and higher AAV. The only guy who ever did that with us was Bauer and I'm not sure any of those 3 would do the same.

I do think we'll AT LEAST be somewhat in on that 25 year old stud from Japan, Yamamoto, but ultimately think he ends up a Yankee or Met. He is young enough and probably won't get a wildly outrageous AAV, so it's a contract I think this front office would give out but I just don't see it happening.

It will probably be business as usual - sign one or two mid/back end rotation guys and a guy coming off a down year (thinking guys like Maeda, Manea, Ryu, Severino, Flarehty, etc.) on a low AAV short term deal with high upside.

I actually have a feeling one of Ryu or Maeda will be back, given the familiarity with the org and both trying to re-establish themselves as solid starters.

***Ohtani is the wildcard here, he is a HEAVY betting favorite to land with the Dodgers. Doesn't sound like he will be pitching in 2024, but will still technically be a starting pitcher acquisition. Obviously if we sign him, we're likely really out on all of those top tier guys.
