The motive is confusing. Deranged people usually act alone. ISIS/terrorists are more vocal and don't usually run. Sounds like a standard office get-together was going on. Sad, confusing story.

Incredible, isn't it? Who knows WTF it is within the American psyche that motivates this?
Bobby Kennedy proposed years ago, 1968, that extensive research be conducted on this phenomena...but he was killed a few weeks later.

    http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-...rnardino-shootings-what-we-know-one-day-after

More details of the shooting coming out. It appears that on some level that it was a workplace dispute. There were two shooters: a man who worked for the county and was attending the office party, and his wife. Reports are he left the party angry before the incident. It was most likely more than a simple spur-of-the-moment thing based on the tactical gear they had on hand, plus the fact that he was able to get his wife to help him so quickly. Also, for what it's worth, it sounds like the two shooters were Muslim and the wife had previously lived in the Middle-East. I haven't seen any reports of the shooters linked to Middle-Eastern terrorist groups, but on the surface it appears that a connection is possible.

Very sad story. Thoughts and prayers go out to the victims.

Addendum: watching the news this morning, I see that these murderers are terrorists, seemingly sponsored and inspired by ISIS.
If you remember from the Paris carnage, a statement was issued by them that read " but American blood tastes best, and we will be tasting it soon"...this is what you get from people who admire murder and love death.
Also, I think the cops in San Bernadino deserve lots of credit for their bravery and professionalism.
I wonder if the same amount of people will seek to elevate the police as do to denegrate them when they fail?

I just heard that they had 12 pipe bombs at home. We may have gotten somewhat lucky they weren't able to do what they were planning. Still very sad, but could've been A LOT worse.

Not sure why we want to spy on the rest of the world when we can't even stop this stuff on our home turf. Makes you question what the real purpose of the surveillance is...not safety, but control.

RIP to all the people who died yesterday and to all who have died due to terrorists and extremists.

One of the saddest things about the whole thing, imo, was that there were neighbors that "observed the murderers working feverishly at night...and getting many "deliveries" in the day...and lots of men going in and out"...and thought to possibly alert the police. But didn't because they didn't want to be thought of as "racially profiling". PC is the "winner" again...victory!
Is it that important what other people think of you in a case that could be serious and was so suspicious? Jezzus christ...

When you have the POTUS inviting "clock boy" to the WH and then mocking the school and the teachers what do you expect?
No one in the media dared to say the obvious, that it was clearly an attempt to get a reaction and what the hell else was it supposed to be?
In fact they were so offended they are suing for $15 million!
We are now so easily manipulated it is like a sport
And it would appear that all leaders are in on the joke
Ill ask my favorite question once again...
Why is it that they are not attacking the governments that make the policy they disagree w instead of defenseless innocents?
The political elite have no fear with the best security money can buy
And yet the left calls immediately for gun control...
Ok Im in if you give up yours first you fucking hypocrites

    "Make more laws...have stricter criteria"...
The only individuals a stricter law, or even a total ban law will affect, would be the law abiding.
Do criminals give a flying fuck about breaking the law...an old one or a new one ? That's why they're criminals aren't they?

Obama is itching to call it ANOTHER workplace violence issue.

This is why I like guns and carry one. If I find myself in a position, I can at least fire back and take someone out with me.

I'm amazed at how it happens here and no one has a gun when it does. But it's usually in places the cowards know won't allow them to be brought in to. The workplace, bars restaurants, etc. We don't have an issue with it where I work. We believe in the right.

Carry for self defense...and self preservation.

Obama "we need to do something about the access to guns".

Well President dumbest guy in the room. How many times are you going to say that? Tougher gun laws, tougher gun crime punishment and make people go through a more thorough process to get them.

The whole "workplace violence" PC bullshit is the problem.

That crazy Fucker that went off on the base in Fort Hood was labeled by our fearless leader President dumbest guy in the room as a "workplace violence" crime.
