    I read something about the FBI handing the scene over to the local PD for some purpose, but I haven't been following this very closely, so it could've been false. Honestly don't know.

    Hey, see "Trumbo"... man, it is one damn good film. Cranston is just Breaking Bad terrific in it.
    Fascinating film...superb dialog and writing throughout. Don't miss it...

    Better control with better screening? Go all Facebook stalking and bank reference check ? Nothing is going to help except full profiling of all humans. Which is well underway and neither of us want for ourselves but prefer kept on all we ourselves view as infidels. Economic embargoes do work. They frustrate a populace to the point that they drive locals crazy. And then they aspire to nothing greater than to take as many heathens with them as possible in acts of hatred.

    Game of numbers like Rube said some thousands of posts ago. Core truth, and you can't stop them.. it's just the way it is when people are willing to die.



    the point I attempted to make was that the uber whiny nanny mom scum sucking attorney sector (aside our loyal DSP God Shaw et al) have as their main and primary focus the limiting of that which might be harmful to any of us, "saving us from ourselves".

    While an aging human I remain resolute that my Basic American Freedom is that I may choose freely to hurt myself if and how I wish by any such means as amuses myself or the crowd. "Hold my beer, hey you'all watch this" style. Freedom to hurt myself having fun.

    Let's hope the gubberment spying thing is equally poorly efficient.

    Just a reminder, lest we never forget...besides the fact that this is the 'Aroldis Chapman who knows if it's real or not' trade day, it's also the sad anniversary of the start of the USA into WWII, with the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

    Maybe I'm kidding myself, growing up/living in NJ, probably up there with the crime nationwide, but I've never felt the need to own a gun. All my friends do, however.
    Being on the dreaded east coast that sucks ( I trust that west coast children are being taught that by their parents, hopefully), I wonder what is wrong with me not owning a piece ?
    I still maintain that no matter how many laws tbey make, laws are for the law abiding. Bad guys don't obey.

    and a gun is what you get when you dont know how to use your sword
    the sword should get you out of most jams if you know how to properly wield it
    not go all ear slicing either
    but calmly poke little holes in the ear and hang golden baubles in them

    once you done dropping pearls in their lobes you can put your sword back in its sheath
    keeping it tight to its whetstone so it doesnt lose its touche
    just because everyone is born with a sword doesnt mean everyone can be like Diego de la Vega.
    or you can buy a gun and just show it to people and have them be intimidated into fearing you
    but isnt it better to use the sword and parlay yourselves into a better situation for all involved?
    unfortunately when the gun became the common weapon of choice the sword became 'gay'
    but you notice that in every regiment you have your muscle who all come in strapped with guns and exhaustible ammo
    while the guy leading the regiment usually just carries a sword with unlimited ammo and versatility... well if he's any good with the liquid blade
