Yeah, my significant other had very similar sentiments...she saw him many times over the years, and misses him terribly. Just the knowledge that he doesn't walk the earth any longer is disconcerting. When I saw the program, his statement on his haircuts was perfect. David was a complex dude, obviously....but, when he said " I'm a closet heterosexual", not only was it mind blowing and provoking ( especially with Iman in the background), it truly cemented him ( in my mind, anyway) as The Man Who Fell to Earth.
In that show they talked about the personal relationship people felt like they had w him. I liked how they mentioned his actual death Today we lost bowie and it's a big deal Sure it's silly to a lot of people to hear grown adults still mourning the loss but it was a big deal
jo jo white dead at 71 all i remember was how much i dreaded seeing that guy play against the Lakers never recall him being anything but a consistent professional and a class act RIP
My hero. The Celts and SF Giants are #1 and #1A on my sports hate list, closely following by the 49ers and Warriors.
Just heard an interview with Jane Fonda, who got a call from Ted Turner the day after her divorce from Tom Hayden for a date. She told him she was probably going to have a nervous breakdown, and to call back in 6 months. Six months to the day, he called, and when she got into the limo to go to dinner, the first thing he says is," I know a lot of communists, too". You can say shit like this if you're a billionaire I guess...
WADR, I dunno man. Never met the guy but that sounds like it could be a fantasy he has retold into truth.
I was friends with a Wrigley heir (worth a B) and he'd say some of the craziest shit I've ever heard, and I say some of the craziest shit myself!
So in general consensus is being a loudmouth loose cannon a good thing or a bad thing? I am asking for a friend.
LOL, Had I been one (coulda-shoulda and woulda) FW would be drooling on my jock for inside info on MY Dodgers!
can't say i've ever liked any celtic at any point in my life but as far as ability/athleticism, mchale was a freak back in the 80's his post game was second to none looked gangly as fuck doing it, but still amazingly effective
