    I heard this on the radio yesterday. Don't know how to feel about this yet. I can't blame the guy for wanting to buy a team, and I can't blame him for being unable to win the Dodger bid. I want to feel happy for him if he can buy the Padres, but it feels dirty.

    nah, i can't overlook this
    his fault for selling the team in the first place
    said a family could no longer effectively own an mlb team
    should have looked for investors/backers back then
    buying the padres would be tantamount to treason

    Treason or just a fitting punishment for selling off the Dodgers? Sort of like a Greek myth where the gods punish him to an eternity of owning the Padres in the depths of Hades.
