With two people, neither one I can bring myself to vote for, I somehow feel like I'm no longer part of this country.
I could never vote for Clinton,my reasons well known. She exemplifies what is so wrong in this country, imo.
And I cannot pull the lever for a person who makes fun of people with palsy..that was beyond anything I have ever seen from the most foul adult, let alone a presidential candidate.
My decision not to vote because neither person merits it, to my way of thinking, on this day, is surprisingly saddening to me this morning. To reach my age and get to a point that I can't bring myself to be a part of election day, is more than a measure of disheartening. I care about it much more than I ever thought I would.
I wonder if it is a failure in myself to feel nothing but disdain for both.
I am reminded, as I have been many times in my life, of this recurring line from Shakespeare:
"the fault lies not in the stars, but ourselves"

 

I don't really have to make a decision on whether or not to vote. We're in California. My vote never matters anyways (not that I've had many opportunities).

It is simply how it is. None deserve your time or vote. Elsewhere people are voting simply so the other person doesn't get win. I'm not sure that's what voting is about either. The two party system is a hard pill to swallow.
