Leave it to the bullpen. I'm not surprised. That long bottom half of the 7th did ryu in. Puigs play saved the tying run from coming in as well.
Great night for Los Angeles fans. Would have been perfect if the fucking chokers called the Indiana Pacers would make the east a series. I DON'T WANT THOSE FUCKING MIAMI HEAT TO WIN AGAIN!!!!!!
@jphoornstra 10m Crazy day for Dodgers news. My favorite exchange was with Tim Federowicz. Me: Tim, can I ask you about -- Tim: No.
I don't know what to say about Wilson....nothing to say anymore, I guess. All the words have been written, and what conclusion can you come to-it's mysifying. When Ned signed Jason Schmidt, you figured as a professional GM, he knew that the guy was ready to pitch again at a very high level...and he wasn't ready and damamged goods. I still wonder if this guy ever had a physical or an MRI or whatever. Just horrible signing. When he signed Andruw, you figured he knew something that the Braves didn't about Jones, so we were excited to get a once great player, but he sucked deeply. IMO, these were two of the worst signings in modern BB history. Shame on Ned, the Overrated One. But we all saw Wilson last year on the field. The guy was superb and seeemed to be a perfect piece for the back end of the BP puzzle...and I was elated when Ned threw money at him and he signed. A move I loved, and restored some confidence, for me anyway. As I said, what else can be said about Wilson now? I just wish he wasn't on the team, I guess is all I can come up with. He's a small step above totally useless. And I still think umpires hate him. If a pitch is close, he never seems to get the call. Very troubling.
Great win. No idea why Wilson is the 8th inning man other then old reputation and money? Howell should be our set up man and League in there as well until League fucks up too much I guess. But now with Maholm in the pen, we don't have to hold Howell for pure LOOGY purposes, he's our 2nd best reliever in any situation and Wilson is only better than maybe Maholm and maybe Wright at this point. Anyways let's keep winning. Greinke and Kershaw following Ryu is so much fun
i think wilson is going to be fine and actually agree w using him in the 8th. i thought he was getting squeezed quite a bit yesterday. i mean he's not my favorite guy in the world but i think he's healthy and just needs to get his bearings back. anyway it looks like we should be able to start winning some series here and i agree its nice to see Ryu, Greinke and Kershaw following Beckett.
