smilies are fucked because photobucket went nazi they now charge for 3rd party use -- i.e., when you post on a forum fucken greedy ckunts if someone knows of another free image hosting... i also use postimage but they're g rated so fuck them
The smilies are in shambles because for years irish added smilies and hosted them on PhotoBucket. The problem is PhotoBucket is now a single-point of failure for those smilies, so it was a bigly bad idea. Ideally they should be hosted on DSP's server, but Craig and Rube never set it up for us (or didn't want to). A while back I started a project to move the smilies over to my hosting, but it was a lot of work so I quit. That's why a good number of the early smilies still work. One possible solution is for me to create a folder on my personal hosting that irish can use... I've just been too lazy to set that up. Plus who knows what shit irish will put on there.

IMO, it's actually not a crazy trade idea. The saddest part is that Verdugo is included in a trade idea like that only to offset Kazmir's salary. I think most of us think that's too much to pay, and I believe our FO believes the same as us * 2. Verdugo plays a position of need for us: after 2018 Gonzalez, Puig, and Forsythe are all FA's, most likely moving Bellinger & Taylor to the IF permanently meaning 2 OF spots need to be filled.

The Kazmir/Verlander swap is all fine and good. That makes sense. But Verlander isn't good enough anymore to net a return like Verdugo. Especially since he's a big part of our future.
