So...how does Kasten fix this lineup?

i know we were without Hanley. still...this team cannot consistently manufacture runs for SHIT and that's even with Hanley in. it's Jekyll/Hyde with this crew.

so what does he do? what does ownership do? we know Puig isn't ready to be in a primo-RBI spot. we know CC's probably not the best leadoff option. we know Kemp and Ethier are corner outfielders. we know Mattingly makes some ass decisions.

 

Trade Puig and that motherfucking pussy Ethier. Get lots of goodies like Stanton.

 

whoa whoa. Puig's not ready to hit 4th or 5th, but 1st or 2nd is OK. lets hold off on trading Puig for a while. these are still minor league cuts for him. let McGwire have another couple years with him.

Ethier though...she can hit the bricks.

 

NOT advocating for it, but maybe they will pursue Cano after all. Desperately need an offensive upgrade at 2B, 3B or C, maybe McCann is an option?

 

oh yes, and we also know that while Ryu's a really good pitcher...he may wear down over the course of a longer MLB season, so we may need a new #3 ( David Price?)

I'd be all for that if we could manage that. I'm not sure that Miami would go for it, Puig value is plummeting, imo. Kid looks like he caught lightning in a bottle, but hasn't adjusted at all as teams have caught up to him.

Not much else we can really do atm. We need to upgrade at 2b, but I wouldn't want to pay for Cano. Maybe go for Guerrero, but he is an unknown at this point.

you know our ownership's not messin around with " with time " type of stuff though as far as the big club goes. they wanna win now on that level. they're gonna look for Price this winter. imagine if we were going home 0-2, but with Price on the mound...that'd make me feel better
