they played imaginary infield practice. a magical pill isn't out there. they wont come out of it in time cause its not one guys its an entire club in a slump. but the thing that has me scared for next year is gonzalez. i have noticed this and the guys from MLBTV noted it tonight, that gonzalez missed 2 very hittable fastballs in the 9th. in fact the last week i have been watching his at bats closely, he hasnt been able to handle any fastball, always late, staring at the bat like he is questioning himself. he has a long swing so if his bat speed is declining this badly boy his contract is gonna be hell, cause he needs to be quick cause his swing is long. kemp will be fine, as will be ethier. hanley is gonna need a great spring training, he is becoming the juan uribe from the giants.
