Lefties do real fucking good against Lynn. Hopefully Andre can play with some effectiveness, but if not, the matchups vs. Carl/Adrian could be key.
Yeah, I wouldn't be opposed to it. Even if Andre feels good and wants to play, if he can't use his legs to be mobile in the OF and/or have powerful swings, you just bite the bullet.
i know dbb loves the lefty/righty matchups and i don't necessarily disagree but i'm almost -- almost -- leaning to starting svs to see if he can run into one idk, stranger things have happened...
You care little about defense then my friend. Puig in CF is awful from what I've seen. I don't even want to see SVS in CF...wow. IMO the Cards troubles in CF last night was the main reason they lost...i don't want to do that.
per tim brown/yahoo: team officials leaning toward starting Ricky Nolasco tonight, but still considering Greinke on three days' rest.
and fwiw... Dylan Hernandez @dylanohernandez 13 OctZack Greinke has pitched on 3-days' rest twice in his career. In those two starts, he pitched a combined 9 innings and gave up 2 runs.12:30 PM - 13 Oct 13 · DetailsDustin Nosler @FeelinKindaBlue 15m#Dodgers MT @ESPNStatsInfo: Since 2007, Zack Greinke has the 6th-best ERA (2.84) in MLB on 3 or fewer days rest (min. 4 starts).10:55 AM - 15 Oct 13 · Details __
I really think that Nolasco deserves a shot here. There should be a hook ready, but he pitched well enough this year to get a shot...
Give Nolasco the ball, for having two victories, the Cardinals haven't done shit offensively. 3-0 win last night might well have been a 9-0 victory.
the only "positive" side of sending Greinke on short rest is that he could go to a game 7 (also on short rest)... But I think Nolasco is the right choice for today...
Not sure if serious but this makes no sense. Might as well let grienke get his regular rest if you're going to pitch nolasco anyway
