OOoooo...this is turning out to be another bummer. Epecially since, no matter how much it hurts to say it and face it, SF ha a better team than we do, and will for quite a while. All our hopes are tied up in the old , usual, "wait 'till next year" bullshit. Always. The Giants are there again, a series W away from it all, and they have a comes through in the clutch line -up (remember everyone said that was their weak spot? haha), a better manager, a way better GM, better pitching top to bottom, a bonafide superstar who came all the way back from a horrible injury, they're faster, better defensively, heart, and very possibly, a better minor league system. Maybe more, but it's a fucking mantra of misery. They make mistakes like all teams do, like Arron Rowand, etc, but they get players that seem to blossom and play better than they ever did before when they get on the Giants, unlike , well, say Uribe and a list as long as your arm with us.......like Scutaro, Pagan (who some didn't "buy" as being good) , Vogelsong, and etc., etc. I'm pretty sure that means the GM can see insightfully and instinctively the potential and the SF manager/coaching staff sure knows what to do with it. Y'know...like getting to the post season and WS and shit with them. And maybe the biggest chip of all in their kick, is the fact that they lost the best hitter in the NL, and their 2X CY winner pitcher sucked sack for a long time, and they are going at least, to the NLCS. They didn't fucking collapse when the big bat was lost. Like some other teams; just steamrollered over us, like fucking roadkill. Like Vinny always told us when describing his favorite team this year, "imagine if Lincecum was his usual self"? Yeah, imagine.
Nah, he definitely had some good moments as a Dodger. I remember he hit 16 homers in limited time in '04 and he homered twice in the division series against the Cardinals. I don't really blame the Dodgers for letting him go though. He sat out the entire 2006 season and it's not like he tore it up in '05 either. Plus we had Ethier, Drew, and Lofton at the time.
# of Dodger hats spotted at CSULA yesterday: 3. #of Giant hats spotted at CSULA yesterday: 3. fucking pathetic
Correction. The Nats as a whole are self destructive. Holy shit they are going to get ass raped by the Giants if they hold on here.
No. I hate the Cards and my friend will be unbearable. But I see what you're saying. I think the Cards have a better chance at beating SF.
What a choke. Some of the worst pitching my eyes have ever seen. Unreal. How you are up 2 runs in the 9th and cannot execute a single pitch. On top of all the runs the Cards didn't even have to earn earlier the game on walks and wild pitches.
Fuck the Bravest, Fuck the imputed in the braves game, Fuck the reds, and fuck the nats. Now we are in a fucking horshit lose lose situation. Way to choke Dodgers and allow this shit to happen.
And now for this forums existential crisis of whether or not they can root for someone to beat the Giants.
I'm easily hoping the Cards demolish them. But then I have to deal with hoping the Yanks or Tigers beat the shit out of them. Tidbit: The Cards will surpass the Dodgers in WS appearances if they beat SF. They will have double the championships as the Dodgers if they win the WS
i have no problem rooting for the cardinals. in fact imo we should just invite the redbird dude into the forum and outright cheer for the cards to beat the giants like its a dodger game thread. the thought of b2b giant world series appearances is totally unbearable to think about.
