I would Jizz for 5/125 25 Per is a lot of dough, but I'd rather do that and not be locked in for 6-10. Hopefully avoid the bad knee/diabetes era, etc. 1 2012: 15 M 2 2013: 27 M 3 2014: 27 M 4 2015: 28 M 5 2016: 28 M
Just got done talking to Bill Shaikin. Lol. He said that the sale has to be complete by April 30th, but he can still sell before that date.
At least the new owner will be able to negotiate his own TV deal now. Still would prefer not TWC though. (as an owner) Even if it's another deal with Fox, 20 years $4 Billion ain't bad.
MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL Mogul is interested in owning Dodgers Sources say that Tom Barrack, a former USC rugby player and head of Santa Monica-based Colony Capital, which controls $34 billion in assets, is pursuing the club. The deadline for opening bids on the team is Jan. 23. Copyright © 2012, Los Angeles Times
Prince could be signed by the Dodgers within the next 3 weeks if Boras comes down in price and length of contract. With the Fox challenge off the table and there currently being not impediment to a sale once the bids come in we could probably sign Prince. With the sale being finalized by April 30 if not sooner it will be the new owner paying the brunt if not all of the 2012 salary. There needs to be certainty of sale and certainty of minimum price with bidders saying go for it and we just might get a surprise.
Anyone check out thelfp.com blog? Our boy Brownie called out that guy Joshua Macciello to prove his money, and macciello responded quickly! Pretty cool shit
I had thought of that but didn't want to post it as folks were still trying to digest possibly signing Fielder. Dada Bing and don't be surprised about Ryan Madson either.
Another opinion for discussin fodder. http://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeoza...-tv-rights-makes-blackstone-hiring-pointless/
