Nope. He's an idiot. Watch closely, he'll demonstrate that again many times over it's how he thinks, or doesn't
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...way-in-hell-the-lakers-should-take-lonzo-ball Uh oh Smh Personally, I still want LAL to draft Josh Jackson, but it's not really a surprise to find out that DLo doesn't want Lonzo on the team taking his touches away And then of course Lonzo could lead LAL to trade DLo, so there's that too DLo has to be more careful, you'd think he would've learned that by now
Nope, its brilliant business. Lavar may be crazy, but he does not think like a slave. Which drives all the other slaves nuts.
Time will tell, but I'm comfortable with my assessment I get that he's a hype machine and You concur that he's "crazy" but slavery? Really? NBA millionaires are slaves? Wow Rube, that's a bit of a melodramatic even for an iconoclast like yourself
The speculation is she is recovering from a stroke. LaVar was not at UCLA's last March Madness game because he was tending to his "sick" wife. I think the speculation is that if she was just sick, IE flu, he would have been at the game, but since he was not it is bigger than that. No one really knows.
Might be that he has already been told he is being traded........ Id offer him and Randall and the #28 pick to the Knicks for Porzingas.
Not talking about NBA players at all. He is not even one yet first of all. I am talking about dudes who think they are men. A man wont bat an eye at any of this stuff. A slave on the other hand will lose his shit. A slave is more concerned with what is 'fair' than what is just. And fair is just another word for allowed. And just is just another word for what exists. What Lavar is doing is seen by slaves as something that should not be allowed. Not legally, but by force of public will. AKA a form of political correctness in itself. Stay in your lane is the message of this type of 'fair'. If I cant/wont do it then you should not be allowed to do it... type of thinking. It punishes people with balls. You know... men. Who 'just do it'... ironically. He is being the term you used of me in the previous message Lavar is doing something new. He is creating something out of nothing. That is called fantasy. Or as the bible calls it... creation. And creation is fun, without it life would suck. That is why as kids we get to recreate as much as possible. We even have time slotted each day for recreation. To create again! What is created? Fun. No matter what you create, fun happens when you create. And it is the single easiest way to buy your freedom. Unfortunately slaves are taught that this is wrong... geez I wonder why.
Lonzo isnt even going to be the top pick in the draft, but everybody is talking about him and his shoes. Now there's a conversation about his endorsement deal being worth billions. Maybe most don't take it seriously, but the number is out there. If none of us had ever heard of LeVar Ball, do you think we'd be talking about Lonzo this way? It may be unconventional, but I doubt it's entirely accidental. In a way it's brilliant. It's probably not how most would have approached the situation. There is probably some backlash because there's a perception that "you're not supposed to do it that way.". Many probably want to see him fail because he dies it the "wrong" way . Personally, I think telling the big shoe companies to go pound sand is hilarious.
Josh Jackson to Attend Anger Management Courses After Diversion Agreement http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-management-courses-after-diversion-agreement But also.. Lakers Rumors: Members Of Organization Admire Josh Jackson http://www.lakersnation.com/lakers-...deaaron-fox-in-upcoming-nba-draft/2017/05/17/ So with that said, Josh Jackson's still my favorite draft prospect in this class. Lonzo hype be damned, I'd love to see LAL team Josh Jackson with George and Ingram. Jackson just turned 20..fuck ups happen. Learn from it and move forward. Anyway, earlier reports of LAL leaning heavily towards Lonzo and all that hype has had everybody ( including me) running down all the scenarios of how they could build around Lonzo. But my preference, said it before the draft lotto and still feel the same today, would be for LAL to take another potential 2-way stud in Josh Jackson. The prototypical pass 1st PG just isn't necessary in order to win titles. When was the last time a prototypical pass 1st PG led a team to a championship? Curry's not that. Kyrie's not that. Parker's not that. Fisher wasn't that. Dallas in 2011 with Kidd? But even Kidd wasn't at the top of his game at that point, he was 37yrs old. You have to go all the way back to Magic and obviously with his size he was something nobody had ever seen before. Could Lonzo eventually rise above that pass 1st label? Again, I'm not gonna put that past him. But if I were Magic I'd follow the trend and add more defense/length/athleticism, especially if I'm adding Paul George and maybe Boogie Cousins as well and eventually running my offense through those two and Ingram/Zubac. Ingram has even shown an ability to play the PG position, George can handle/pass the ball, Josh Jackson is an excellent passer and has the handle/athleticism to get the ball up the floor, and Cousins is one of the best passers in the league regardless of position. Throw in a possible Avery Bradley addition along with Cousins after next season and that's enough ball handling. Watching a dynamic PF talent like Randle go would be tough..didn't see that report coming at all, but I believe it because Magic did recently say that they see Ingram as the guy they'll build around, while Pelinka recently said Zubac is one of the pillars for them as well. I agree with both sentiments..both of those kids have professionalism/maturity beyond their age. They both seem to have the necessary focus and definitely have the 2-way ability..what both D'angelo and Randle lack to varying degrees. If the FO doesn't believe Randle's going to be a star, their focus likely turns to his defensive ability/ability to do the little things/willingness to be an energy guy who brings the hustle on a consistent basis. As in, ¨ do we think it's in him to be a supporting/role type of forward who can make a big impact on games in other ways? ¨ ala one Lamar Odom who eventually embraced such a role/had the talent and ability to do so. If the answer to both of those questions is no, then yeah, I suppose it'd make sense to move on from Randle, especially before he becomes an expensive asset. Randle does lack desired length [no homo]..certainly doesn't have the god-given physical attributes that Odom had. Odom could defend every position on the floor and most of them at a high level, so once he bought into his role that was that. He was that force in a supporting 3rd/4th wheel role and well worth 14/15M per year..which they may not want to pay Randle if they don't think he's the guy that can fill in there. I think both D'angelo and Randle will be productive pros, but fit just matters.
Good post Fall Not agreeing with everything stated, i.e. "Odom could defend every position on the floor".. that said I mostly agree with your overall analysis. We're left to speculate somewhat on what Magic/Pelinka are really after. Since it's Magic I'm guessing speed, defense, length, passing and solid scoring potential. But then who isn't? I don't see too many traditional 'role' players until we get a core nucleus that rocks, then we can add bit players. Right now we need towers of talent. I like Randle's energy and rebounding but his scoring touch isn't. I like D'Angelo's passing and overall "O" but his "D" sucks... which means both need to improve or get ready for a new uniform.
Jackson's gonna need some help with his shot, has inconsistent and improper mechanics leading to inconsistent results, but shooting is one of the easiest things to work on. A good portion of his offensive game is rooted in potential, at least scoring wise, but I'm just not so much concerned with scoring at this point. He may not ever have to be a #1 scoring option with LAL if they can get their hands on George/Cousins to go along with Zubac/Ingram, they'll be able to take it slow with Jackson ala Leonard in SA. Leonard's 1st few years in the league were meh offensively, and Jackson has a better handle/passing awareness coming out..Luke can get him into the motion O as a cutter/slasher/finisher from the start and let his athleticism/energy level shine. But yeah, he more than likely comes in with a Michael Cooper-like floor and a ceiling that's as high as anybody's in this particular draft, so I'll take it. Defensively he's ready to guard SGs and PGs right away
As much as they need a distributor, they need defenders just as badly. I'm starting to lean Jackson's way, too. But please, please, please (James Brown reference).........just say no to Cousins.
Maybe they will..Cousins is polarizing enough to assume that a FO could be split on the idea of adding him
Isn't Cousins in the single digit Wonderlic range too? Not saying that we should have kept ex-Harvard chump Lin but that 'some' IQ is required at the higher levels of this game
Shots fired.. Magic Johnson says Brandon Ingram is the only untouchable player on the Lakers http://www.silverscreenandroll.com/...andon-ingram-untouchable-dangelo-russell-espn Was hoping Zubac would be included there, as Pelinka called him a pillar of the future recently, but I guess with Cousins in the 2018 FA pool that Magic said they'd be focusing on, they're also willing to move Zubac in the right trade.. Say what you will about Cousins and his flaws, I know I have, but he doesn't lack confidence when on the floor among the top talents in the league. He's a true alpha who has the attitude that he's the best player on the floor every night no matter who else is out there. There aren't a lot of guys out there like that, and like Gregg Popovich said, " belief " is a powerful thing when matching up with super-teams like GSW and/or CLE with super-LeBron. If Magic and/or Kareem..or Big Game James, or Kobe can put their arms around Cousins and mentor him the result could be dominance. Luke's also not a hard guy to play for. Have said it many times now..the way to beat this Warriors team is not to out-shoot it. Like Kareem said the other day, any team that beats a full-strength GSW team is gonna have to defend extremely well. It's not as sexy as the thought of Lonzo and D'angelo making sweet passes and 3-point music together, but there's no way around the need to defend. However, I'll add to that - the team that beats this new GSW squad is also gonna have to find a serious advantage on the offensive side of the ball that can break down the Warriors' defense consistently because they themselves defend extremely well. And IMO, a Cousins could provide such an advantage, could dictate which lineup(s) Kerr would elect to go with against LAL. GSW/Draymond @ center could battle serious foul trouble against Cousins. George and Cousins are pretty close compadres from what I understand. The two also have this in common, both have had their agents put it out there that they see LAL as a landing spot in FA after next season, so a team up is probably brewing and then Cousins would probably enjoy tormenting SAC after what happened at the end of his run there.
Crybaby Ainge again... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...cs-he-wont-work-out-for-them-says-danny-ainge Lonzo Ball won't come work out for us.. waawaaawaa boohoohoo Grow a sack already Danny
Yeah I am hoping that it is unsaid and they will keep him. I still have heartburn over losing Marc Gasol.......
