Did I say no more? I said if they're good invite them, but there is no need to have more just to have more. Reading comprehension is a good thing.
Kasp doesn't frequent the boards as far as I know. I have him on facebook though. I will say this I owe Brad, Kasp, and DGD (who also doesn't post anymore) a debt I'll never be able to repay. When I visited there in 2004 they showed me great hospitality and went out of their way to provide transportation and tickets. Also LTB, lovesbrett, jeffinLA, surf, and bobsince58, among others...all of whom I met in person after several years of posting together on espn. I did not get to meet bburnam or huh? on that trip, which I regret but they didn't come to OD that year.
How about FriarTuck? Wasn't there a Fred Merkle, too? huh? was always cool to me. The only ones who I had run-ins with were Rocker, Slug, DfanSac (who had issues with everyone), and one of the DFan##. Guess I had more than I thought. There are a couple guys who were from the later years who I stay in touch with: Scurtis and Pops. Both cool...obviously.
It was probably my 5th post there when I got hammered lol. Btw cooper, and maybe Codge knows too...he posted under "iamdarthnihlius" on ESPN, what did he go under on Huzzah? He was the guy who brought me over.
Not huh?. I think he only had one name. I was/am darth. Forgot about that. All these names from yesteryear: Kasp, DGD, and Bobsince. Where is FSU? I used to be connected on FB with several guys (Bruce, DGD, Brad, Jeff, and Surf) on the ESPN board but that account was deactivated by FB.
Guess that piece of info made the difference. I was thinking I couldn't understand how you didn't remember me.
FSUdog grew tired of the crap a whole year before I did. He used to e-mail me and lament about what had happened to the people we used to know and love and what they were evolving into. I guess he saw the writing on the wall long before I did. He gradually faded away and stopped posting. I'm pretty sure I still have his addy though I haven't heard from him in a year or more.
i used to frequent the espn boards back in the late 90's/early 2000's was working in corporate america back then so i wasn't there a lot i remember codge (carolina) and a couple others of the guys you mentioned -- some i liked, some not so much seemed like some of the regs were a frat and if you weren't in... here at dsp there are no cliques you join, you're in and i thank guys on the espn board like codge, slewfoot, bobsince58, burnam, fsu and some of the others were always cool i vaguely remember some guy named greenslug as well and of course feeb but i digress what i'm trying to say is that you guys are all cool and i trust your judgement if you still have a way to contact these guys -- whether they're good/bad/indifferent -- you're free and welcome to invite them all and oh yeah... merry kwanza bkitches
I fear slew may have passed on or is in declining health, at least. He used to participate in our fantasy leagues and he was fond of NASCAR, which we also had a small fantasy group. He hasn't been in those activities for several years now. He was a great guy and very knowledgeable with organization contacts. He could often tell us which way the front office was leaning when it came to certain players. He is greatly missed.
There are a few good dudes at PSD we should poach. I'd caution against a full " hey everyone come hang out here" type deal.. I feel like DSP is kinda like the beach...once daffy made that map..it got all fucked up.. I'm all for selective poaching tho..
Also., I half stumbled on DSP and had the Ginger tell me about it. He kept referencing that all you guys split to " the other site" and I asked where. Decided to do a search for Bluezoo because it was such a unique handle it just had to come up and well i found DSP.. He later sent me a PM but funny thing was the DSP read as ***... those PSD fucks even sensor DSP..hahahaha
The more the merrier... and DSP has been pretty good at self policing thus far... mostly... ... No cliques but lots of divergent opinions to play with
