Has anyone looked at Crawfords splits the last few years? Interesting and hmmmmmm. http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/splits/_/id/5035/type/batting3/carl-crawford He and Dre together equal drop off against lefties. We need a quality 4th outfielder who perform against lefties.
Will be starting next year with a potentially defective outfield. Kemp and Crawford coming off of injuries and who knows Crawford and Dre having some issues with those of the left handed persuasion. If we can get through April all right it may begin to mesh big time.
Who really cares anymore? It doesn't matter. We finally get new owners, big name players, and the Giants just waltz into the WS with Marco Scutero. I'm just saddened by the cruelty of this sport. It takes us 25 years to start getting serious about winning again and these guys are gonna do it 2/3 years with that team? Bogus. Why bother getting the best players? Teams like that are gonna swipe titles. No matter how good our efforts. Fuck this.
Truth be told, they have a good all around team that hits when things matter... we had our chance and blew it... Their pitching was really good all year even with Likethecum sucking at IBB proportions... Their bp had no labeled closer, but all of them performed well... I hope they lose big time, but its impossible to say that they dont deserve to be playing in the WS... Now lets go out and sign 2 good SP so we can beat the crap out of them next year...
well, if you want an apology, you wont get it... jk... another thing to consider is how to construct the WHOLE roster... maybe we are better off having Dee at SS and keep Cruz in the bench, as he can be that utility player that for some reason end up playing 125 games covering everyone's day off and injuries... if we have him, Hairston and Rivera back, we have 3 good bench players who can give you defensive flexibility all over the place and can carry their weight hitting... throw in a LHPH and Fedex to back up AJ and we are done... oh, and kick Uribe in the nuts...
the whole point about baseball is that its the most like golf of all the sports thats why its not really a sport its a game a diversion it works great at that baseball is completely different than the other popular sports being a baseball fan is completely different as a dodgers fan you hate the giants thats part of it but the way the giants keep getting to the WS when they arent supposed to, keep surprising the nation, have off the wall characters that do stupid stuff for attention, etc... if they were named the Dodgers this would all be very similar to some magical moments our team has had as a baseball fan im having a hard time hating on the giants right now it reminds me too much of when the dodgers have made these runs then again i havent watched them play other than highlights on tv if i was watching a series of giants games i might get sick of them too
then you should have your head examined comes quite easily and naturally to me I've always hated them always will hate them that's not to say I don't respect them I just wish our team had as much heart
then right now what you are experiencing is not hate its envy i get that your anger is with the dodgers not with the giants for not manning up when things got tough the way the giants did after melky got caught i would start with the manager and i already had my head examined no surprise to find out i have a swelled head plenty of people could have told the doctor that without even having to do the exam
Yeah, we had our roids, but so did every other team back then. It's a huge advantage when most players on other teams play by the rules. Alot more level playing field when every team has pitchers and players all roided up. The Giants vs. Angels was an epic roidfest!
