Wife & daughters out tonight watching a chick play. Funk dat. We stayed home. 7 yr old son & I watching Fistful of Dollars because we are MEN, ya sons of bitches!!!! See you in a few years at the psych eval...
Loved Eastwood in all his westerns, spaghetti or not. An icon. But for me, Chief Dan George steals this flick from everyone.
wife and i watched silverado last night never saw it before, much better than i would have imagined good flick
Goldblum was good ... all the leads did good work. Arquette sleepwalked through her role though. I especially liked James Gammon as the baddie in the thieves camp: I think there's just a couple o' guys up there and this asshole is one of them!'
First time I saw Linda Hunt was in " The Year of Living Dangerously"...I was totally blown away when I read in the cast credits she was a woman. Great performance. Btw, that flick is well worth seeing if haven't. Something different. Early Mel Gibson and an untouched Nicolle Kidman...as pretty as a prayerbook. Great, exciting score, too.
My big brother has been a trucker for 33 of the last 45 years. This stoey breaks his heart. Say goodbye to the W900... https://carbuzz.com/oldest-vehicle-nameplates-history-going-away/
not much of a semi truck buff so I'm limited when commenting but aerodynamics rule the day w all vehicles anymore driving down the road every car pretty much looks the same so progress marches on I guess sure are a lot of them on the road so maybe replacement parts is a good business? always seemed these owner operators would have to also be pretty decent mechanics to survive can't imagine what tires cost for these rigs let alone gas and taxes I did actually drive one of these a couple of blocks in an industrial area when I worked for footlocker in another lifetime they were moving inventory into a temporary warehouse and all the drivers were pretty good friends since we worked together unloading and I saw them constantly given the chance I went for it and shifted a couple of times bringing it to a stop before going in to the bay doors so I can always say I drove a W900 like I am now it was pretty cool but that double clutching thing takes some getting used to
so went out for a belated bday dinner w my kid last night at some well reviewed Malaysian restaurant in LA very hard to find good Malay cuisine and usually I drive over an hour to OC...it was decent but still making the drive next urge walking in they had an old movie marquee w the birthday people getting wishes crazy part was along w my name was one of my brothers, a sister and a female version of my apparently full transitioning nephew last time I spoke to him was July and thought he'd find the photo funny since he used to have a sense of humor so I sent it the reply was "please do not contact me unless it is an emergency thank you" I'd be lying if I said I wasn't relieved in a selfish way since at least I don't have to bear witness to the process really love that kid but as the gf likes to say, what to do?
