Now Price to the IL. Fucking ridiculous. Following the Dodgers’ 12-1 win over the Padres, manager Dave Roberts said Price will go on the injured list with left wrist inflammation that has been bothering him for a few days. Price hasn’t pitched since Aug. 29. Placing Price on the IL opens a roster spot for Ryan Pepiot, who is expected to pitch the bulk innings in the series finale on Sunday after Caleb Ferguson starts.
well that has to be it for the season for him in a way i'm ok because there has to be a young gun who at least gives a shit to prove himself you just know dave has been thinking about that moment he can help the old brother get his shining ride into the sunset
I can appreciate the effort he gave us this year, but I won't be disappointed to see his contract ride off into the sunset.
irish's "fwiw" post showing strong historical numbers against Manea worked yesterday, so let's try it again. FWIW... (sorry I don't possess the elite formatting skills of irish) Los Angeles Dodgers Career Statistics Vs. Mike Clevinger
Pepiot wasn't getting the same borderline strikes that Clevinger was, but that's gonna happen when you can't establish control. And he was all over the place today. His pitches are crazy live, but he's got to reign them in.
Thanks for cleaning that up. Even more so because I hate linking to ESPN - I try to avoid that site as much as possible.
fwiw, if the Dodgers win tonight, the magic number goes from 12 to 9 because MLB eliminated tiebreaking extra games and the first tiebreaker is head to head, which the Dodgers clinch with a win tonight.
Nice post. If you had asked me how a team drops three off its magic number with only one game, I may have been stumped.
