    Dont you think this guy was at least worth a 40 man roster spot? I sure would keep him over other POS like Sellers, Mike Baxter, Nick Buss or Butera. At least for the short term...

    cant they move him to the 60 day DL? not sure how that works...

    but still, he could have been worth the last roster spot...

    Guessing the team was worried he would never fully recover, but I too am in the camp of his upside is way better than guys like Sellers, Guerra, etc... Wish we would have kept him.

    C is set, like it or not. Ellis wont be pushed out. And we dont have any good catching prospect coming up.

    The only real questions are 3rd base and the pen, unless you want to speculate on FA starters. It's logical to assume that at least 5 of those roster spots will be occupied filling those 3 positions. Who the back up to Ellis will be is probably #6. Wait, we need some versatility on the bench...maybe we need a 42 man roster.

    FedEx will be Ellis backup, but for sure they will go out and get an old catcher just because Ned loves them... for the bench, we could say SVS is a lock, and they will go out and get 15 utility IF... Eugenio Velez anyone?
