    No doubt Mark had a positive effect on the Cardinals hitters so while I thought Hanny got the shaft I don't min this alternative. Could LaRussa in the front office be too far behind? No I am not thinking GM, lol. He admitted his steroid use and came clean so he's alright in my book and I don't think there will be a cloud of suspicion OTHER than in here. :D

    Angels were in desperate need for pen help so not unexpected. Sosh will have a positive effect on Marmol. This move is a clear signal that they are going hard after Grienke and I am sure the Dodgers will go into negotiations full bore now.

    Reading elsewhere people think FA's will be signing fast, let's hope so.

    I'm not sure about this, it seems like rag tag players make better coaches. :)

    There is an old adage that says those who can, can. Those who can't, coach. I don't think there is a clear pattern either way that very good players make bad coaches and vice versa. Sosh was a decent player but a better manager, LaRussa was a lawyer and a really good manager. Magic is a top 5 NBA player of all time an couldn't coach worth a shit, while Bird was considered a good coach. Ways to go before we find out about DBB, who is a fringe HOF'er as a player.

    The Dodgers are getting one hell of a hitting coach... Yes, the steroids big fucking deal... The guy came clean, yes it should have been right then and there but it's over with... Everyone is getting second chances and this guy should get one as well... I could sit here and tell you guys about all the stuff this guy preaches and no it's not all about power... IRISH AND I HAVE TALK ABOUT IT IN THE Cardinals forum check it out... I'm sure if it does become final you guys will hear about what kind of coach you are getting..

    There's gonna be a lot of allegations of Big Mac helping the guys out unfairly if the Dodgers start hitting like mad men (even though they should be with a lineup like that) which I hope won't be true.

    one of the espnla writers brought up the possiblity of something given todays event. the dodgers could cockblock the angels if they sign grienke.
