Puig placed on Trade Waivers by Matthew Moreno | Dodger Blue — 1 minute ago The Los Angeles Dodgers spent multiple seasons attempting to work with Yasiel Puig and at times overlook whatever actions may have disrupted the clubhouse and/or caused a distraction. However, the organization seemingly reached wit’s end this August. After failing to trade Puig prior to the Aug. 1 non-waiver deadline, the Dodgers optioned him to Triple-A Oklahoma City. It was the first time in Puig’s career he was sent to the Minors since making his Major League debut in June 2013. Since the demotion, the Dodgers have largely remained noncommittal on the status of Puig’s future with the club. While Los Angeles wasn’t able to move him ahead of the non-waiver deadline, Puig was essentially replaced in right field by Josh Reddick. Now, it appears the wheels are in motion to bring an end to Puig’s tenure with the Dodgers. According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, the team placed the 25-year-old outfielder on trade waivers: Ken Rosenthal ✔ @Ken_Rosenthal Source: #Dodgers placed Puig on trade waivers today. 11:56 AM - 28 Aug 2016 The timing of the move hardly comes as a surprise given the waiver-wire process and rapidly approaching deadline. Revocable waivers last 47 hours, while a player must be on a club’s roster by Aug. 31 in order to be eligible for postseason play. In the event Puig is claimed off waivers, the Dodgers will have 48.5 hours to negotiate a trade with the claiming team. Should he clear waivers, a seemingly unlikely scenario, Los Angeles could then trade Puig to any team. A third option allows the Dodgers to pull Puig off waivers if he’s claimed. In addition, they could elect to simply give Puig to the team that claimed him, and that club then assumes his contract. Though that’s an unlikely scenario. In 17 games with Oklahoma City, he’s batting .375/.420/.641 with three doubles, one triple, four home runs and 12 RBI. Los Angeles reportedly placed Scott Kazmir on trade waivers as well, with the southpaw going unclaimed. It’s not uncommon for a team to put several players on waivers, including those they have no intention of trading.
I'd love to deal with PED Braun but still think it highly foolish to have a .382 hitter sit in OKC when you have a .141 hitter in Reddick ruining games daily with his shitty game
If you could piss, right? Seriously though, that doesn't look like a good trade to me. We got Ruiz to take care of some of our LHP issues. Not sure Braun is the "other" solution. I might want to get additional BP help considering we may not get any better with our SP.
Oh, I can piss alright. But fuck that cocksucker. He's proven that he plays for the name on the back of the jersey and fuck the name of the front of the jersey. I'm not forgetting the way he 'stood up' for his teammates when lied about his PED use. If you trash Puig for his behavior then you have NO FUCKING BUSINESS wanting Braun.
Probably right, but Braun's attitude prevents him from not being a lying, traitorous, cowardly cocksocker every minute of his life. And he looks like Ellen Degeneres in transition. And has the same name as Hitler's wife.
well.. isn't that pulling on some ancient biases otherwise the "lying, traitorous, cowardly cocksucker" part is about dead on or did you really mean "cocksocker" because that's a whole new can of worms... puts him in the Draymond Green category it does
Has Puig cleared waivers yet, or is that tomorrow? If so, isn't there just 1 day to do a deal to be on the roster by the 31st?
No it's not a bias...just a visualization. Physically, I think Ryan Braun looks like Degeneres would if she was far along in a transition. You want to think it's a bias, go right ahead. It's simply an image in my mind's eye. Nothing more. Seems like nothing is taken as written anymore. All the psychologists in one place...a baseball message board. Who knew? The murky alternatives, the subconscious meanings are all extrapolated from what people write now, almost without fail. An obvious jesting quip turns into an analysis session. Lol.
