I was going to post that his dad is almost as tall as he is, and that he looks a lot like him, and it's a good thing he didn't take after his mom height-wise, and then you tell me he's adopted. Oh well.
yeah i just went with what was on dodgers.com now they've got tbd for tomorrow, but they still have wood [no homo] on tuesday so idk
SO FAR the Bucs have been pretty mediocre at least offensively where they rank 23rd in team batting average. Their OBP is .319 and they rank 29th in HR's ahead of the Gnats. We need to take advantage of this team while they are down. Their pitching ERA is ranked 8th and we are ranked 1st so again there is no reason not take 2 out of 3 at minimum! Frankly not getting a sweep will be IMHO a failure but my paranoia only will allow me to predict 2 of 3.
Funny.........first thing I noticed was Dad's Fresno St sweatshirt. Judge definitely had the "good guy" rep at Fresno. A man child on the college level, too.
MehCarthy has a sore non throwing from working in the weight room? Novel concept for him. That's why I never lifted anything that weighed more than 16 oz when I played. Of course that's also one of the reasons no one ever paid me to play.
Well, I noticed that, too...but had no wish to persecute him for that as you did. I also noticed the red hair gene that Mike obviously has, but that opens up endless paths to go down. Malcolm X.
I honestly think it's a bit fake or not that serious. They were able to put Kershaw on Saturday and put McCarthy on Sunday, knowing that Sunday probably wouldn't be played. And now, they can put McCarthy on the DL retroactive to when he last pitched, call up a reliever for the next 3 days, and have McCarthy pitch on Thursday if my math is correct. Gets him skipped once in the rotation to not burn him out and doesn't really create a problem Maybe I'm over analyzing it but it's not that improbable
It's no secret that our FO is very liberal with their use of the DL, so I don't think it's a stretch at all to come to the conclusion that McCarthy is just fine.
Oh, what a tangled web we weave... Guess I'm a traditionalist, or maybe one might say, unslick mthrfcker, but take a pitcher who is "fine" and have him miss a turn, purposely, basically for shits and giggles is OK why again? E= mc hammer. If the guy truly is fine, what does this get us again ? He still is getting paid right?
We have a 6 man rotation. Skipping guys here and there is part of the deal. In fact it is kind of the point of us having the 6 man rotation.
We need to preserve these guys obviously but the consequence is that it's hard to figure out when Kershaw will be pitching next. Still no indication who is pitching today for the Dodgers. Saw a bit of an alarming trend with regards to playing the Pirates but we haven't beaten them in a season series since 2013 or something to that effect.
@kengurnick 6m6 minutes ago McCarthy said his left shoulder was dislocated in the weight lifting incident. He will try swinging a bat today.
