Yep, Donnie dumbass was along for the ride too. LAD is so locked into the BS, it's truly sad. From DR to Kershaw to Guggs, etc. I'm all for Lux gettin ABs in the post, but the start against Stras? He takes Hunter Strickland's bum ass for a ride and that shits supposed to mean it's time for him to face Stras? What kind of message is being sent there? Taylor should've gotten that start
Put Kike At shortstop during playoff runs. I have Seaver wildly swinging at back foot sliders ingrained in my memory for all time. I wish Jimmy Rollins was still here.
I think the Nationals would be content getting to the NLCS and losing. They are focused on advancing further than the first round for the first time in their Washington history and will do anything to make that happen. Expect them to run Max, Strasburg, and Corbin into the ground We have a real challenge in front of us
This is a good point. They are all in this series. We need to win tonight, because after this I think Max, Stras, Corbin and Hudson are the only pitchers we will see in games 4 and 5.
Kershaw should be moved to the bullpen permanently for the postseason. I’d rather have Buehler, Ryu, Hill, and Gonsolin with Kersh in the pen. Throwing 1-2 innings should help him get his velocity back, plus having only 2 pitches won’t hurt as much. Sometimes it amazes me that he was able to dominate like he did and barely developed a 3rd pitch, couldn’t ever throw a changeup.
CK seems to have a hard time preventing runs in the first 2 innings. I wouldn’t trust him even in a BP situation at this time. CK knew this when he opted for the extension rather than try for FA. He knows his time is about over.
Kinda thought Will Smith would get this game but understand Russell has more experience and Smith needs rest for the Long haul.
michael taylor (0-11 / 6k vs ryu) starting in place of robles you just know he's going to go 4-5 with 6 rbi
fwiw sanchez, last time against the dodgers in dc july 26... 89 pitches, 7 ip, 3 h, 1 er, 1 bb, 6 k time before that at the ravine on may 10... 89 pitches, 4.1 ip, 6 h, 3 er, 2 hr, 2 bb, 3 k
This is actually not true. A few teams have voiced concerns that the Dodgers have taken some advantages over the last couple years whether it be exploiting pitchers tipping or stealing signs. We only hear about it more when our pitchers are doing it as it usually something the local media really covers. One of the reasons Chase Utley was retained as a special assistant is that he has picked up on a number of tells. It's not a true science and it takes true talent to pick up on this stuff as some of it is INSANELY minor quirks.
